Nice but ZModeler and Kam's 3ds max script (since 3ds max can't import .dffs by default, like ZMod) have a lock option; besides this, it is a bonus to mod stealers aswell.

just saying

Jinx.

I already know about it  but I'm just updating DFFlocker to stop stealer

DFFlocker already tested in 3ds, zmodeler, and rw analyze

sorry, bad my language

Nothing can realy stop stealer, you can just make it harder for them to import dff, but that dont solve the problem.

The only realy worcking way to protect you mod from being stolen, is just don´t make it public, or share it only with people you trust.

or upload it on a donwload place that requires you to do surveys to download. and put a password on the file so no one can open it.

but that was so evil.

He must have compiled using Visual Studio 2013, without using XP compatible compiler.

.

This is so stupid ! (no offense).

The central idea of modding is about COOPERATION !!!

Everybody here learns from each other all the time. That's the reason we call ourselves a Community.

Even those ones who have no chance of developping mods...at least give valuable help on debugging.

As the guy said above...If you are afraid of stealing your mod....just DON'T publish it.

You raise a valid point. But remember that wanting to protect your own IP is also a valid point.

Several people (just like H.A.F.) have contacted me about locking resources. Solutions do exist, but for a price.

Personally, I discourage the locking of resources.

That ain't true. They were at least nice enough to keep their shaders uncompiled while R* compiles them. And ripper programs give a sh*t about the crypted game files.

@the discussion: as I keep finding parts of my mods in almost every ENB out there, I can support this. This may be against what modding is about but stealers are, too. It's still user's choice if they use that tool or not.

Lol. People still lock their dffs? hahahaha. Let's see how it's done...

EDIT: Hahaha, you only change byte 0x13 to from 0 to 1 and append the encoded name at the end?

Well, better than nothing, how many modders know that? It's somethning other, so all the mod beggers and parts stealers can't steal it so easy.

I know, everything can be unlocked, but i don't want to be much easy. I spend a lot of time for make great model, and someone steals it and dont give a f**k about little thing.. stupid credits, one word of original autor .. yea because then it doesn't looks cool, when someone only take parts from others and make masterpieces.

Coders have it ok, how can comeone steal yours source when it is compiled?

Don't get me wrong, i only want to fight little more against those people.

Do not lock it and you won't need to unlock it.
