yoječ
Technically speaking, nVidia did lie about GTX970's tech spec - to be more precise it hass less usable ROPs and L2 cache than initially stated. However, such specs aren't even listed on the nVidia website. As for the VRAM "issue"... well, nVidia definitely screwed themselves by not making that clear in the first place. I wouldn't return the card though, because - why? If it was a big deal, it'd definitely be caught in the reviews. And I don't recall any review that would notice any problems caused by having a slower portion of the VRAM. Besides - it's still much faster than accessing the RAM, thus it's better to have 3,5+0,5GB than 3,5GB alone. Anyway - I'm sure that if everyone knew about that whole VRAM thing from the very beginning, it'd be quickly forgotten and no one would care in the slightest. I can't even imagine what nVidia's PR team was thinking. The 970 was the same card before and after people found out about the VRAM thing.
