[V|REL] Collectable Collector

Recommended Posts

This will definitely help. When I played the game on last gen, I had to go to each location. I won't use this for certain stuff that doesn't have very many collectibles. But I definitely will use it for things like stunt jumps, letter scraps, and space ship parts. It is just so repetitive going through a guide to find all of these, and if I tried to find them on my own, I'd just loose track.

I got to about 95% on last gen. I never got to play the secret mission at that you get at 100%. This will help me in reaching 100% on PC so I can easily catch myself up back to where I was on last gen. Then I can say that I have gotten 100% on GTA V.

spaceship parts still impossible to find due to the teleports only putting you near the locations, not the exact coords of where the devs placed the spaceship part object
16,31,41,42,44 & 47
46 spawns you under the map
epsilon tract 9 can't be collected because it spawns you inside a building
epsilon tract 10 spawns you at a letter scrap collectible instead

I looked online for some of those, the coordinates aren't too far away.

to many inaccuracies in the teleport areas your taken too, but to be fair, rockstar hid most of the f*cking stuff in the ocean , like about 6 locations for Peyote are in the ocean and most of the hidden packages and one land location for a hidden package on the porch where the yellow and red box was, there was supposed to be a package there but nothing was there!..

I well wait for sjaak327 native trainer to be released within a month or so

great work !

but i wonder how did you do that ? i am completely new to gta v modding but do have a lot of knowledge when it comes down to coding. so i understand how the scripthook might work but what exactly is an asi file (kind of dll?) and how do i make / decompile one (is this native .net ?) Could u point me to some tutorial or sample code or whatever that bring me up to speed with u guys ? really appreciated !

To everybody experiencing troubles finding particular collectibles: I recommend using an internet guide in combination with this script mod. I made it so you get teleported near the collectible so you can enjoy picking it up manually instead of spawning on it and picking it up automatically. I know that sometimes near is a bit too far, so I will look into a way to teleport you better.

Download the SDK from Alexander Blade (here) and open the sample in Microsoft Visual Studio. Everything important is in script.cpp. In the beginning it's a bit overwhelming since it's a lot of code but once you see the structure it's not that hard to understand.

Would it be possible to get the source or have you make it so instead of teleporting you can just set waypoints?. Id like some help with collectables but I think teleporting is just too much.

I don't exactly get what you mean. If you want to teleport to a waypoint you can use Alexander Blade's Native Trainer.

I mean make it so instead of when clicking say "spaceship part 1" and it teleporting you to the coordinates you have already built in. It would instead set a waypoint to the coordinate you have set already in your script. That way I still have to go travel and locate the item without being put ontop of it directly.

Yeah, I just ended up using IGN's guide for them in conjunction with the trainer.

Nice, do you think it's possible to have a blip placed on the map as an alternative?

It was a nice aspect in Bully: Scholarship Edition. Completing all levels for a class would show certain collectibles on the map. You could then go to where one of the icons was, get the collectible, and that blip would disappear. And so on.

I just think it would be a nice alternative for the people who want to drive to all the locations, instead of just teleporting around.

I think that's a great idea, it would keep the gameplay element intact but with much more less effort to find the collectibles. Or may be just transport to the general area.

This. In SA there was a mod where you held the 'crouch' button which toggled on/off all of the collectables you hadn't got to appear as blips on the map. Would be great if we could get a similar mod for V, although I imagine it would have to be written from the ground up as this mod doesn't work like that at all.

There must be a way to get it to work as you can view the collectibles you haven't got on Social Club, if it would somehow be possible to import the Social Club map API into the game that would be awesome!

These are very nice suggestions, and I will certainly try and make it possible. This will require some research and a different tactic to tackle the problem of finding the collectables. Since I'm also in my master in computer science engineering, I don't have a lot of free time (I spend my whole last weekend creating scripts, while I should have been studying...) so updating this mod will probably take some time.

That's cool. I'm sure everyone appreciates your work for the community thus far, and the fact that your masters degree should come as a priority!

For me it's working though, maybe it has something to do with Steam vs. retail?

For those who have crashes, try this and please let me know if it works:

If it works, I will update it in the first post.
