Worked fine for me for the first few days, but now it suddenly won't work. This is what I see in my script hook log:

I think I found a bug.

 

The toggle engine key is not recognizing whether you are pressing the alternate key or not.

 

I have the toggle engine key set to "delete"

I have the toggle engine alt key set to "CTRL"

 

the engine turns on and off by pressing delete without holding CTRL.

I have all the other functions set to use CTRL as an alt key and they work.

 

I looked at the source code, and on line 505 of the script.cpp:

if (isKeyDown(keyDefEngineSwitch, keyDefEngineSwitch))

should be

if (isKeyDown(keyDefEngineSwitch, keyDefEngineSwitchAlt))
could someone fix this please?

Version 0.7.0 Released!

  • Added vehicle window control feature (Default Key: * to open/close your window or CTRL + * to open/close all windows).
  • Added break light configuration (Look on INI file).
  • Bug fixing.

Hey, i can't figure out to change the keyboard configuration.

I wanna change:

G which makes your character leave the car and leave the engine running to B.

And also i wanna change CTRL + G which makes your character leave the car and leave the engine running while also leaving the door open to CTRL + B.

hey! i saw this mod and i really want to use this, but it dont do anything when i press those buttons. i copied the files to the gta v folder.

Is it possible to add a configurable drop shadow to the speedometer ? I'm trying to "integrate" the speedometer in the right lower corner of the "GPS" to be the same style and size as the GPS's distance indicator when you have selected a destination/blip.

Version 0.8.0 Released!

  • Added Skylift Magnet support (Press E or DPad Right to attach/dettach vehicles).
  • Added helicopter rappel support (If you are a passenger).

Outstanding work, but I have a suggestion, can't you make the doors (trunk and hood included) work the same as the ones in the enhanced native trainer? The close non-animations are a bit off putting :S

+1 to that ^ ^ ;) I love how the doors/hood/trunk open in the enhanced trainer.

Maybe make a special version that calls trainer's function... ? Would that work ?

I recall that plugins for AMXX (CS 1.6) could call functions of other plugins.

Not sure if it's the case for ScriptHook V though.

 

 

 

EDIT: Oh, and one more idea/request if it's possible:

 

Add GTA IV style of leaving the car like so:

 

Press "F" = Exit car leaving the engine running

Hold "F" = Exit car turning the engine off (normal behavior)

Press "G" = Exit car leaving the engine running and the door opened

 

This style would be basically GTA IV's style, but with a "quick key" to also leave the door opened.

 

 

And/or another "mixed style" of GTA IV and current:

 

Press "F" =Exit car turning the engine off (normal behavior)

Press "G" = Exit car leaving the engine running and the door opened

Hold "G" = Exit car leaving the engine running

 

This style would be the GTA V's style but again with the "quick key" to leave the door open and/or

if you're not in a hurry you could just hold the said "quick key" to leave the car and closing the door.

I'll improve the configuration for speedometer soon as I rework on the graphical part to add a sort of menu for some configs (to save hotkeys).

I do have one thing to report on the new update that recently came out, that being v0.8.0 and for some reason I can open up the windows of my vehicle, but cannot close them again.. Could you test to see if it's indeed broken or not?

Version 0.8.1 Released!

  • Fixed window opening and closing system. Stupid R* detect "open" windows was broken windows, lol.
  • Trunk opening now also open backdoors for trucks (MULE, Pounder, etc) as well as Trailers (Including TV/Car carrier).
  • I added code to change indicator state on attached trailers but it seems that it doesn't work... I think this function is hardcoded on GTA client for NPCs.

 

IMPORTANT:

For players who wants controller support, I don't have a controller to test. Please, advice me which buttons for which function you think it is useful (remember that controllers have less buttons than keyboard, so it is impossible to put everything). If you have spare dollars, consider donate me one :D

I have a few issues though, like the left back door opening of the cars instead of the trunk. Already fixed in 0.8.1 I see.

Another issue is that the searchlight that is supposed to work on POLMAV is only available on the CARGOBOB? I pressed I in the latter and it said the searchlight was turned on.

There was no visible light though, so maybe something got mixed up?

 

I have a controller, I'm not sure if you could fit all options onto the buttons as most of them already have a function (unless people really want to invoke multiple actions by pressing a single button, which I don't).

 

 

A suggestion, which another controller mod uses, is that the leaving car with engine on is mapped to the F key.

Like in GTA IV, quickly pressing it causes you to leave with the engine on, pressing it for a longer time causes it to shut off the engine and then get out.

I assume leaving the door open by walking away is no longer possible as you've added a separate option for it.

Excellent mod.

 

I have a request though, could you add a feature to simulate pressing on the gas pedal without being actually in the car ? Or i don't know, being in the car, pressing a button, waiting for the player to leave the car and then making the car accelerate without anyone inside ?

 

Why i'm asking that is because there's times where you want to throw your car from a hill or in the sea, in a more classy way than just ejecting yourself and rolling on the ground for five seconds flat. Could be useful for machinimas too.

I guess the same effect could be achieved with one of those "physics" trainer where you can push objects around, but hey, your mod is amazing and adding such a feature would benefit to it.
