What a surprise! Microsoft & Sony have had their E3 conferences, and R* still has yet to say one f*cking thing about the SP DLC. If their goal was to create a feeling of neglect amongst the SP fanbase, then bravo! They continue to raise the bar with making the SP feel less and less important as time goes by! If we're lucky, we might just get a teaser trailer by September!

Yep I sure know the feeling man. I'm waiting to see what happens with release of Rockstar editor on consoles and if SP DLC will be tied in with

I'll Gotten Gains part 2.

I can see Rockstar Editor coming with Ill Gotten Gains Part II, but the SP DLC? Nah. Too big for that. I'm almost positive that if the SP DLC is going to be major, it won't be a quick update and more as an add on that is purchasable for a reasonable fee, such as 20 bucks. can't wait to hear THAT complaint.

Around $20 was the cost of the EFLC Packs. I's say that would probably be a reasonable price. :)

After Ill Gotten Gains Part 2

and whenever Lab radio gets added to the consoles along with NG R* editor all come out and we still don't have any updates about it from Rockstar...... I'm going to lose the last bit of hope I have for it.

Yeah I know it will be a paid add on and certainly no quick freebie. I guess what I mean is that I think it will be officially announced with the release of the Rockstar editor and Ill Gotten Gains 2 or around that time sometime this summer.

I also believe the scenario presented by funmw2 is the most likely as it is related to Heists and agent 14.

As to whether being announced upon timing of the release, 99% doubt it. I imagine they'll coincide it with a big announcement come later this summer, but I honestly don't see a better point than selling this advertisement by E3. It may be time though to put down a 2-year-old game and enjoy whatever else there is to offer now. I'll still cherish and enjoy GTA V, but it's time to move on. If it calls me back with DLC, I'll go back, but it's hard to stick to something so long with a short attention span.

I think it would be good if Rockstar focuses on other games. GTA V is going to be 2 years old pretty soon, and some people have moved on already.

There's no good reason for them to not say anything about the DLC for over 14 months if it's still going to be released.

well duh. if it is coming out, they'll say something. if it's not coming out, there's no good reason to announce it.

And before someone says "but they PROMISED", I think the hint towards story DLC that began with the newswire post a long time ago is seriously up for interpretation and due to its phrasing, it seemed very easy to think "oh adventures with michael trevor and franklin, this must mean story DLC is coming." Based on what Shawn Fonteno has been saying recently along with coding hints that funmw2 has been posting every now and then, I'd say there's still a safe chance of announcement in the near future.

They specifically mentioned Story Mode DLC.

And later this year, look for even more additions to both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V, including more holiday-themed updates, some very exciting Story Mode DLC and much more.

If it's still planned, why would they not say anything about it for over 14 freaking months?

We all know Rockstar is silent when it comes to big things. Remember how they didn't really say anything about GTA V for about a year after the first trailer came out?

Yeah, if it's still planned, then why don't they speak something like, "hey fangirls, daddy hasn't forgotten about you, at all. I am a busy daddy right now. Yes, the online crybabies and their sh*tty demands hasn't been dealt with completely, and we are still unsatisfied with those 52 million copies sold and there are more things daddy want to continue milking online, and so progress with the SP DLC have been kind of slow, but rest assured SP fans, we will be milking you for more money ... that's a promise"

Such kind and assuring words will help a lot in waiting for the DLC, really.

Just give Rockstar money and hopefully they'll speak, that is if they're satisfied enough.

From what I remember, they've mentioned it three times.

The article you posted, the article someone else posted which says it will "Continue the adventures of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor," and another one where they listed their order of release for DLCs which I think was the Content Creator Mode Update, the High Life Update, Heists, and then Story Mode DLC assassinations and flight school. Which is odd, because GTAO got a flight school update.

Then you have all the times after that which Shawn Fonteno would mention a DLC was in the works, or that it's coming soon etc.

It's definitely going to come out at some point. It's just taking a long time since they were focused on so many other things.

It's just taking a long time since they were focused on so many other things.

I remember how people used to defend Online during early days of the launch by saying, GTA V is no longer handled by one studio alone, but rather multiple internal studios working in tandem, and so single player won't be sacrificed but will be focused as well.

Now, what? All those studios were not working already on the Single player in tandem with online heists, and as well the NG release all this while?

Is it so hard to say a simple yes, or no?

Nobody is asking them more than a confirmation about the SP DLC.

That's all.

I never heard of that, but I certainly don't believe it. Especially with the way things were.

Heists took so long to come out, in the meantime Rockstar was constantly fixing server issues and other bugs within GTAO and updating it with content almost every month. Then they were working on the PS4/Xbone version which obviously was taking a while since it got delayed. After that, heists were still in the works, and the PC version was being worked on and delayed.

I don't know why they're wasting their time with the Ill-Gotten Gains updates. I guess just to serve as a sort of follow-up to the heists since now that people can easily get a lot of money from heists, this two-part update can give them something to work towards and spend all that money on. I really hope that after this they fully focus on the SP DLC. I'm sick of GTAO's constant updates and catering.

And don't even give me sh*t about "Oh well they don't get shark cards from Singleplayer!" If the DLC is on the scale of EFLC/Undead Nightmare, than they can charge $15-$20 for it and gain income from that. It doesn't have to be free like all the other updates.

When did the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions get delayed? All I remember was it being announced at Sony's E3 conference last year, and stating it will come out later in the year. Rockstar never said it got delayed, they didn't make a previous announcement.

I can't believe some of you still expect there to be single player dlc despite the evidence to the contrary. September will be two years since GTA V's release. The Lost and Damned came out less than a year after GTA IV's release. In an interview with Gamespot this year Zelnick from Take Two was asked about single player dlc and he totally shot it down.

All that being said I expect an announcement from Rockstar tomorrow. If they are working on dlc then great.

I mean, I'm still going to buy it, and I know tons of other people will. I can't take anyone serious when they say: "It's too late now! There's nothing for me to do in the game, and when something does become available I'm going to refuse to get the DLC so I can purposely continue to have nothing to do, and complain about it!"

No one actually stated that, so stop exaggerating with this conjured up bullsh*t. Just because they say that, it don't mean they won't buy it. How on earth do you come to such a conclusion ?? Here's myself a a case study. Yeah it's a bit too late for me with regards to hype and anticipation, I'm not really that interested anymore in SP DLC for V, personally I'd rather hear some news on RDR 2 and the next GTA. But if this SP DLC for V actually exists and if it does turn out be something great with a lot of the kind of stuff that I like, then of course I'd still buy it, especially if it gets me interested in V again. I'm still a GTA fan after all durrr......

Seriously that was real stupid what you just said, makes no sense at all.

EDIT :

What's Rockstar Editor all about ? Is it for SP so people can mod the game on consoles or what ? If so, they are better off doing that. The fans themselves would do a much better job than those clowns at Rockstar North.

Besides given how long it's taking I don't blame anyone for losing interest in it. There are other games after all. I'll still buy the DLC only and if only I feel it's been worth the wait.

I spent money on extras for GTA IV, RDR and even LA Noire, but with GTA V it feels different. It's starting to feel like the ship sailed a long time ago so to speak.

Yeah that's a fair point too I guess. Nothing else interests me much either on the horizon with the exception of Arkham Knight. I would honestly rather buy some older games I never played during release or games I rarely play and give another go.

I just bought the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edution and it's more fun than playing GTA V.

Basically no. Those Game Genre's simply don't interest me like GTA has for the past Decade and a half.

Have you ever tried Sleeping Dogs? I think that if you like GTA IV more than GTA V (since they're so different) you'd like Sleeping Dogs, especially if GTA V is getting boring for you.

Sleeping Dogs was so slept on.

Also, have you seen the new Hitman gameplay trailer? I'd say it's back in the open-world genre GTA's in, so, if you haven't looked into that, I highly recommended.

When my new Hard Drive arrives I will see about purchasing a Copy of SD, also formerly called True Crime: Hong Kong. :)

I can't say I expect them to announce it any time soon, especially after they missed their chance with E3.

Honestly, it seems like it's going to be quite a bit, I imagine they're still busy with making the update for Online. (Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2).

I give up on waiting, if they do announce it, I'll be happy to buy and play it when it's out, but actively waiting seems like a pipe dream at this point.
