Yes I said it, heist are a let down, stop lying to yourself and admit it. Other game modes are dead because of heist, not only that, R* decided it was necessary to nerf money, nerf rp, nerf rounds for LTS. Why? Why do something so pointless? Also joining jobs after the "restructure" is just god awful. Snipers and Stunters? Gone. No explanation as to why. (I haven't seen one at least) R* even tweeted about and promoted this created game mode! Yes some keep popping up but pretty quickly get removed by R*. (Want to use the word "sniper" for you created jobs? Too bad. They forbid the word.) It's amazing what R* can do but it's also amazing they can't get anything right when it comes to online gaming. Dropped the ball when online launched, dropped the ball on heist, dropped the ball for PC. Don't get me started with their servers. OT: All grievances I can agree with I think the root of their problems lies with the servers, if it was easy to set up a deathmatch/race I'd be playing all day, its the thought of waiting in a lobby for an hour that puts me off. Like deathmatches and all of those other stupid game modes being abandoned due to heists, yeah I'd like to think that those game modes were left behind long before heists came out, also OP no I'm not going to admit that heists are boring just because you said so, in your opinion heists were a let down boo hoo for you amigo, I think heists are good and I can't wait for more to come out. Also OP how exactly did R* drop the ball on the PC port of gta v? Aside from a few bugs ( not uncommon let's be honest) they did an amazing job with the port. Either Rockstar or Take two are elite money whores Play heists, now look I know heists aren't the end all be all but either do heists or contact missions or buy a shark card, there are a lot of ways of making money, and R* are a company, if you were in their shoes you'd probably try to find ways of making money too even if makes some people on the internet mad because they can't afford to buy a fictional sports car and they have to buy your cash cards to get it. R* quadrupled their money before the game launched for last gen ($1B in 3 days to be exact) Then preorders and release for next gen, and then PC preorders and release. And I'm sitting there thinking "Yeah there's a reason why it's free; because it comes packed with glitches, bugs and other annoying sh*t that makes you say "Boy I'm glad I didn't have to pay for that!" Rockstar has made online about filling their pockets with even more of our cash, instead of making online about being fun and playable--notice how quickly they hot patch money glitches, but how long did that stupid god mode glith run rampant before they finally did something about it? 4 months by my count--players have every right to be disappointed. The heists are exciting if you have a good crew to play with all the time, but like a lot of us, we can't be online all of the time, and usually friends or crew members aren't online when we are. So, we have to settle for trying heists with random players who typically f*ck the whole thing up and waste your f*cking time in the process. I noticed they nerfed Rooftop Rumbles pay again too. What the f*ck rockstar? 13 grand for RR on hard, are you f*cking serious? They just want people to buy their shark cards, that's all they care about. They could care less if their customers are actually happy with their game, obviously. I mean look how long it took them to bring out heists and it's still riddled with annoying bugs and glitches. Talk about droppin' the ball. the only glitch I've ran into is where the game freezes every time you try to enter the garage in the first fleeca bank setup, different experiences for many people, the first few weeks of heists were hell, but then they got better. The current gen release marked the time for a rapid decline in function with each new update just making it worse . The heists dlc marked another big decline. Maybe low pay interns have been running the ship since last summer with the "A" team on an other project or on a very extended stay in Margaritaville. First time I checked it out last year, thought 'nothing for me here' and put it to rest for months. I also have no problem with money. Then again I don't waste money on blowing up people's PVs and griefing them since I'm not interested in FR and PvP. Just a glimpse of my last week: Day 1: I have 50k left in bank after fully modding 5 cars Day 4: I'm buying an Infernus and fully moding it Day 5: I'm buying a Banshee and fully modding it Day 6 (got into a few successful heists): I'm buying an armored Kuruma and fully modding it Day 7: Just messing around, but I'm still buying a 9F and turbo for it Day 8: After about an hour of play, chrome rims and the rest of mods for 9F True, I play quite a lot but I also waste a ridiculous amount of time by getting into unsuccessful heists with randoms. How much money does one need? Maybe the game is more suited for coop and reasonable play now rather than FR PvP which I certainly appreciate. Even the connection errors are getting quite scarce. Racing, Nerfed $ and RP payouts Missions, Nerfed $ and RP , f*cked up starting locations, added spawns etc... Content Creator without a filter Passive mode Ruined Tanks Houses without windows New apartments in the city not outside etc...... all and all it was a better game at launch! Commander S Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 ...see, I reckon the game's finally the most playable it's been since Heists launched - patch 1.10 sorted out the major graphical bugs that were hampering gameplay, and so for the last near-fortnight, it's at last been possible to enjoy all the new stuff more-or-less without issue (aside from that Fleeca Job one, that's apparently been fixed very recently) Only major problem is a 'content drought', frankly - could do with another update, just because like any other persistent online game, interest is only maintained by timely injections of new stuff to keep things fresh. But hey - I just swap out to Forza or something when no-one else is playing GTAO, or when I'm not really feeling it with the game, and then come back to it when I want to mess around in the LS sandbox some more (and in fairness, it's a really good sandbox!). Or occasionally, you'd do something like jostle him or spook him with your car when getting in, and typical NPC AI would kick in and he'd turn hostile, haul you out of your car, start a fight, etc. Just having the car magically pop up a short walk away was a HUGE improvement, IMO. All those loading screens and waiting and then you either get booted or someone leaves and back to a loading screen. Then you get stuck in the cloud for five minutes. Then you accept invite but it's full, lol, why Rockstar do I have load into a new session when that happens? Argh! It's still there, brah. =) And I do agree with you 100% when it comes to their servers when updates or heists launch. Every single update launch is FULL of glitches and connection errors. Most of that is traffic related, but damn..... R* should know at THIS point that their systems will be hammered with traffic when stuff goes live. Can't they prepare for that BEFORE hand? I just wish Rockstar would fix thier servers,and the chances of getting into a lobby a staying in a lobby are like picking a number between "1-10",90 percent of the time its not the right number.
