Gogaqt
Hey there, so I started playing Gta V and game works fine, high fps and such. The problem comes when suddenly, for no reason,(maybe after 2 hours playing, maybe after 30 minutes..) screen freezes and I can't do anything, but sound is still working. All I can do is reset my computer. Why does this happen? Thanks.
Hugo_Agante
Read this thread, maybe it can help you: http://gtaforums.com/topic/786976-gta-v-pc-black-screen/ By the way, please answer these questions: what are your PC specs? what graphic settings are you running the game on? (don't exceed VRAM memory) do you have the latest drivers installed? is CPU/RAM with full usage? (check that using the task manager, just put CTRL+AL+DEL while in-game and choose task manager)

CrazyLamer
If you have antialising on, try turning all that off like msaa, fxaa, txaa all that. Also try turning shadows and everything connected to shadows to Medium settings and see how that works out. And if you have direct x 11 try turning it to 10 and see if that works if all else fail and reply if any of these settings fixed it. What kind of powersupply do you have in your computer, that might also be a problem since i've had that problem myself many years ago in a rainbox six vegas when i played for an couple of hours. RedDagger
It might also help to reinstall your graphics drivers, it seems to solve a lot of issues.
CrazyLamer
So, did it work ? since there is no reply to the thread i guess it all worked out. The power supply is a bit weak imo, but it should be enough for that rig. But the problem is a typical faulty powersupply or gpu overheating problem that i've experienced myself in my younger days. But let me know if there's still any problems. And better, send me a pm, i've replied to almost every single post on the first page between 5mins and 2 days now so it would help helping you faster.
