WarNikolai
Hi, I noticed that I have the gym glitch where I cant work out and it always says that I am the limit. I tried some solutions here but none of them work. Then I noticed that I also have the basketball glitch and the taxi glitch (no nitro) and who know what else do I have. The savegame is at 100% and have passed a lot of days since I completed it. Just to say, that I have 3 100% gfs and I leveled them just by saving, and going next day to pick them. The question there is... I have read that "there are" codes like gameshark or action replay that can fix the glitch but last action replay version or codebreaker dont have these. Where can I find those codes? I searched but couldnt find anything. Thanks

WarNikolai
I have searched and there are no fixes in those codes. They are all cheats.

WarNikolai
Thanks. I thought it was only the first page, since it was full of comments. Will try and if I dont answer then everything went good.
OrionSR
The "taxi glitch" is where passengers never appear. This isn't an issue on PS2. You can probably fix your taxi nitro glitch but using the taxis have nitro cheat one more time. It you use this cheat before completing the taxi mission then the game will probably toggle the nitro off. I haven't actually tested this but it makes sense in theory. WarNikolai
After trying to format a ton of times an usb to fit the armax with the codes it didnt work so i just copied the gym glitch manually. I copied it under "GTA San Andreas", without any sufixes like FR or DE and after launching the game the pad doesnt work. Tried another pad, reconect, but it doesnt so I cant test if the gym works or not. My GTA is the platinum version, I dont know if this has to do something. Also, wanted to create a special category to it but it required a master code which in the psot you link i dont understand which is. The table just gives the codes, without a master. OrionSR
Try to repartition your USB memory stick to FAT32. This is a level below reformatting. You may need to use Window's Disk Management snap-in or a partition utility, and it still may not work on newer devices. Try to find USB memory with less than 512MB capacity. Also, some players have reported success using network transfer software - I forget the name, sorry. I have not worked on PS2 cheat device codes in a very long time. I don't remember the details but everything should be included in that topic somewhere. That topic was not written as a guide; it is a record of our research project. In the beginning I knew nothing about PS2 memory or cheat device codes, but I did know a lot about hex editing save files, which is very similar to game memory. If you work your way through the topic from the beginning you should be able to discover things like the master codes and how to use them as I did. I'm suspect, however, that the topic will be difficult to translate. If you have more questions then please provide as much context as possible. Post the codes and what you tried. Include links to the source information. It has been a very long time but I might remember if you can provide enough clues. Please specify your version. PAL v1, v2? WarNikolai
Hi, Thanks. My san andras is PAL 2.01 (i think its multi5, but defenitely multi). The DVD says SLES_525.41. I tried the "gym fix glitch", PAL AR max in the first table here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/350108-cheat-code-creation/page-3?do=findComment&comment=1058178034 Since I had to put it with a master key I used the "GTA San andreas" (no sufixes) that came with the AR, but I think this might be the problem. The master I used is the one here: http://uk.codejunkies.com/search/codes/Grand-Theft-Auto--San-Andreas_Action-Replay-MAX_13633187-13___.aspx Edited April 23, 2015 by WarNikolai
WarNikolai
I think I solved the gym problem. Using the "Third Gym Glitch Solution" from here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/159320-basketball-gym-pool-bugsglitches/ I dont know exactly what happened or how which step was the key but this is what I did: - Was full of muscle and fat. - Tried to starve CJ. I didnt want to wait a whole night so I kept him running at the Johnson house against furniture. Just locked the left stick with an object. - After 1 hour or so of real time he lost all the fat and muscle. Was a bit strange because he still was fat graphically. Saved and loaded and he was skinny. - Gym still doesnt work. - Did the pedestrian thing. Hit one, waited him to punch CJ until less than 1/4 of health. Then save the game. - Tried to do the pedestrian thing again but this time none of them did almost any damage to me, after 5 minutes of punching me I lost like 1/100 of the life, he seemed invincible against punches... Threw a grenade, lost half of the health and saved. (dont know if this step did something) - Gym works now!!!! Trained one day. Saved 4 times until next day. Trained again. Still I would like to know how to use the ar code, what master should I use. Edited April 24, 2015 by WarNikolai
OrionSR
You should consider working out until the gym kicks CJ off of the equipment. This will reset your gym glitch for another year. Otherwise the glitch will probably be back at the beginning of next month. Any non-sense someone reports with strategies to fix the gym glitch is simply a superstition used to advance the time until later in the month when the glitch isn't active. I know exactly how and why this glitch works. You don't need to look any further. The main problem is, you can't look at your save, so we have to guess at the hidden calendar day and month variables. The cheat codes for fixing the gym glitch won't translate to PALv2 directly. The memory offsets are different for each version; those codes will change the wrong variables if you don't adjust the memory address values. The usual rule of adding 0x0100 to NTSCv1 for PALv1 doesn't seem to apply to the full codes; I don't know if I made a mistake or what so we'll pretty much need to start from scratch and do the math. You should be able to get a working master code by pasting a working AR-Max code for your version into MaxConvert's left panel, setting the input to AR Max, and converting to Raw output. The master code will show up in the game ID box. I could try porting the NTSCv2 code to PALv2 using a best guess strategy, but these code can actually be off by a bit and still work correctly. Without the ability to export the save to confirm precise alterations I'll never be confident about codes that alter global variables in PALv2 memory. My suggestion would be to create a new code that resets the radar help message and makes the mini-map blink at the beginning of a game. If we can find the location of this specific global variable then we can do the math to find the gym variables. I've learned a bit more about the gym glitch since these codes were created. I think we can write a code of the same length that doesn't use a 32-bit multi-write code; that should be a bit easier to understand and port. Oh yeah, multi-write. Maybe that's why the PALv1 code didn't match expectations based on the NTSCv1 code. I guess we'll just need to break the codes down and figure out how they work again. Before I get carried away I should ask, are you really interested in learning to port your own codes? If not, you might post your code conversion request in the appropriate topic and hope someone takes an interest. I don't do that anymore. But if you want to learn how to do it yourself I can probably help you out - assuming you have some basic algebra skills. The math really isn't all that hard, but people that are generally afraid of all math will find this a difficult challenge. But if you already know the basic of hexadecimal numbers and can do simple math in a spreadsheet you'll probably catch on quickly. The other part of the puzzle is the game scripts. You can copy main.scm and script.img from your PS2 disk to a PC and then decompile main.scm using Sanny Builder. Disable custom variable names as these are specific to PC. The global variable numbers are more useful to cheat device coders anyway. The NTSCv2 scripts should be identical to the PALv2 scripts. The only difference should be in the memory offsets. What else? I'm going to be busy with work for a few days so I'm not likely to be much help anytime soon. You'll need to carry on independently - or I'll think you are trying to get me to do the work for you rather than learn how to do it yourself. Look into OmniConvert. It has features MaxConvert does not, like code.bin lists, (not sure on the name) that let you export long lists of codes to a memory stick so you don't need to enter huge lists of cryptic codes. Oh yeah, USB isn't working for you. Ask your geek friends to check their junk drawers for the crappiest thing they've got and repartition it to FAT32.
