vLaDz
Asking because i was running on 4x MSAA with 45 fps and after the latest update same settings 20 fps If i put it on 2x i can't reach 45 but i reach 40. So did they made MSAA look better and made it harder to run? Anyone spots better graphics?
SilverRST
MSAA hurts FPS really way too much when at grassy areas. It didn't fix anything regarding MSAA in the latest patch. Edited April 22, 2015 by SilverRST
vLaDz
Yeah i know that but i can tell my fps dropped because luckily enough the last time i checked the game i went to Michaels house and it was day and in his garden i had 45 fps, yesterday it was day aswell and i got out of the house in the garden and 20 fps. SilverRST
MSAA only works good when there are no grass. I have this problem too, FPS were dramatic when going to Michaels home. I turned off MSAA, don't want laggy sh*t.

Yes,but dx 10 is the only way to stop the game crashing from d3d error code, btw I'm playing in 1440p,at 1440p,msaa & fxaa are not required as it makes little difference, higher quality texture settings matters more,What's the point if the game looks better but prone to crahing? interfreak
I've noticed a change as well. Under the old update with 2xMSAA+MFAA enabled I'd get 55-60fps all the time on grass (High quality), but now it tanks to as low as 45.

So it don't matter if the game can't run properly?Kindly use your brains before you state any points, msaa is only required for 1080 or lower resolution,if u really want msaa, don't need to touch in game settings, can just adjust 3d settings in gpu driver Edited April 23, 2015 by Biff73

Doing this gives you the best performance and you don't notice the jag after the first 5 minutes in anyhow!
myname2917
I was messing with settings last night and I think I found a bug when it comes to at least msaa (and mfaa enabled since I have it enabled) in the heavy grass areas. I'm using a Geforce 980 and have grass on very high and use vsync. I would be in the heavy grass area and my framerate would tank to about 30 if I did any moves with the car and would be maybe 40-45 if the car just sat there. I went into the menu and disabled msaa and turned on fxaa and got a constant 60 fps in that area and I could drive and run around in the forest at a locked 60. I then went and turned fxaa off and msaa back on and...back to 60! Only a few times would it drop to maybe 55-56. I was in the game again tonight and the same thing happened and I did the same thing above and got the same outcome so this has shown me there is something up and that being in the grass area with msaa doesn't mean performance has to suffer and at least for me it has basically the exact same performance as everywhere else. I have yet to see the framerate drop big outside of the grass area but if it does, I'll try this and see if it is the same result.
