PC Online Invite only Missing

Hi I can someone tell me what I am doing wrong I am trying to open an invite only session on PC but I do not appear to have the option it is probably something really simple but I just cannot seem to find it.

It's in Play GTA Online.

I have tired that it just takes me straight online into regular session with other people with no options or anything, in fact i have died a few times because of this as while i am looking around trying to see if i am alone i get shot/runover.

You can only make an invite only session when you are in offline, then go to the pauze menu and click on the online tab -> Play GTA Online -> Invite Only session

Hi I load the game in story mode(is this what you mean by offline) I pause the game go to the online tab and select Play GTA Online and it takes me straight online into regular session with other people
