TheMostKnowledgable
It would be a cool experiment just to see what happens at least. Can't hurt to install yours on there and try it before he buys it, right? You can try it before you give it to him as well. I would guess at least 20fps, maybe 30, lowish settings, maybe better, might surprise us. Give it a try. How expandable is it? It's a LGA775 board, maybe it can take a nice quad in it for cheap on ebay. I might list a q8400 and a 550ti + 6gb of ram fwiw, but there's plenty on there. Ram will set him back if he wants to expand that, DDR2 is pretty expensive these days. Video card is on the low-mid range and a bit aged, but it should play it. A 610 is running it 20+ fps I saw on here. Edited April 22, 2015 by TheMostKnowledgable legend_killer_84
legend_killer_84
Alright ill install it on it. Pretty sure it will take ages to install 7 discs lol. And yea a core 2 quad should be fine but i wouldnt make much of a difference would it? Dont think he can afford the cpu and the ram i live in india and ddr 2 ram is like 80 dollars here Edited April 22, 2015 by legend_killer_84 TheMostKnowledgable
TheMostKnowledgable
A quad core would be 2x the cores it has now, so, 2x the CPU's, in simple terms. You can get lucky with used parts for cheap, keep an eye out. Looking forward to hear how this runs on there the way it is currently setup though, for sure.
