Ducky is King
So my GTA V is currently installed on my C drive, But I am getting a shiny new SSD, is there a way to move the game to the SSD without having to spend 2hrs and 7 DVD changes to reinstall the game? mdamaged
Yes, just move the file(s) or, in this case, the directory where you want it, and create a junction in the original spot linking it to the new spot. This will tell you how: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/ In my case, my SSD is C:, so I have GTA V install itself to a mechanical drive (G) first here: G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V Then I moved the entire \Grand Theft Auto V folder to C:\SSD Game Cache, so I now have C:\SSD Game Cache\Grand Theft Auto V, then I went into G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ and created a junction from C:\SSD Game Cache\Grand Theft Auto V, to G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V. G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V is actually a junction while the actual files are in C:\SSD Game Cache\Grand Theft Auto V.
