Dying when bailing from helo...

my problem lately has been not having a reserve chute - even though I go to Ammunation and it says "Item owned and equipped". But I never have a reserve chute anymore. Buy them, get in a chopper, jump out, pull primary then disconnect and I fall to my death. Idk what is going on.

when in a helo, hit x or a square, if it doesn't show a reserve chute open up the interaction menu and switch colors of your reserve. MAGIC! You now have a reserve 'chute. Jump with confidence my friend. Just tilt the chopper first.

I find that it's usually the Annihilator that kills me the most when I bail.

Yep. Happened to me a few times recently too with both helis & jets, although I don't die from clipping the tail of the jet.

 

The one thing I liked about GTA V was this never happened, unlike in IV where it happened all the time. I hope it gets fixed.

All jokes aside I probably fly more heli's than 99% of this forum. This is what you do. I've never died from the blades. Tilt right and your character jumps out left. That simple.

NOt exactly.. Passengers can move over to the pilots seat now.. This guy bailed out of the helicopter as the pilot on the Yacht Setup for Trevor.. I was like wtf and accepted death.. but then I started controlling the helicopter.

I'm wondering if the Reserve chute even exists outside of Parachute Jump missions. I've never actually experienced it.

Gonna go ahead and bump this...

 

 

So i found out this happens 10/10 when everyone else on the mission has already died and you are the last one alive. If this happens to you, and you are like me, and like skydiving after a long flight - DONT F*CKING DO IT - JUST LAND YOUR HELICOPTER OR YOU WILL, I REPEAT, WILL GET BLADED.
