Stats are not increasing.

I've been playing GTA heists for the last 2 hours as a pilot. My ground team really sucked cause they kept dying and I was stupid enough to keep restarting. Anyway, I was expecting a nice boost on my flying skill but the little blue bar hasn't moved an inch so what's the deal with that?! I'm also pretty sure that this applies to my other stats too. I remember putting about 2 and a half bar into my driving stat but that doesn't seem to move either. I've driven around 400miles so far so I'm pretty sure that this stat should be higher as well.

The flying skill really takes awhile to raise. For every 10 minutes spent flying, it will increase by 1%, which is an indistinguishable change in the small blue bars.

 

The best way to boost your flying skill is by completing lessons in the flight school.

Some people who've been playing for months don't have all their stats up. The stat boosting is really slow. Stats will always go up no matter if restarting a mission/heist. So no time wasted there. Stats don't mean anything, really. Strength increases your punches but seeing how clumsy the fighting is this is useless. The flying makes your plane more stable, if I recall correctly, but doesn't really affect much else. Stealth is broken. The only good ones are stamina and lung capacity so I'd focus on those if you care for these.

My best suggestion is to just play - the stats will go up as you enjoy the game. Don't focus on getting high stats, focus on playing. The stats will follow.

Yes. Flying school will max it.

 

The skills in gtao and sp have a low curve that eventually turns steep if you keep working them in the same session.

 

If you want a stat up use it for several hours in a row. Want driving up? Do races for a couple of hours.

When heist came out I lost about 5% of my strength and driving skill and have yet to get it back. Could be a glitch. I mean I'm by no means worried about not having it but it looks better being fully decked out.
