Any Reason To Buy A Plane?

Planes don't spawn during missions, although I can't think of a mission where you need one.

 

I operate under the theory that eventually I'll buy everything but planes are low priority.

Because its a nice to fly every-now-and-again. I own a Vestra, Cuban-800, 5 seater velium and hydra. Nice thing to mess around with my mates with. Well, was, no-one else had moved to PC with me.

Planes can be handy if you're a crate drop hunter...but give me a Buzzard anytime.

 

Besides, who wants a measly 750 RP and a combat MG that you 1) already own or 2) will disappear when you exit the session or leave the game?

 

Note to R*: You really, really need to provide motivation to players to actually chase those things. They're getting more worthless by the day, and people know it.

IMHO planes are absolutely useless, i only bought my luxor to basically say i have one, i rarely use it. So yes op, planes are a waste of money, now if we're talking Helicopters like the buzzard and that heist one, then yes its worth it.

The duster is a fantastic plane for flying through the city, it can go real low and slow. it doesn't seem to spawn online (apart from a couple already in the air) so worth spending a couple hundred thousand dollars.

Surely a jet would be better? My Busra(is that what the mini jet is called?) will fly past ANY plane.

I have a duster, besra, miljet and mallard. All fun to fly. I also bought a shamal so liveried jets would spawn at the airport while using mine.

 

After over a year playing, seeing the same airport spawns online is f*cking boring

Pretty much a waste of time unless you particularly like a certain aircraft. However, a Besra/Vestra would be useful for getting to places fast (think for special crates). I own a lot of aircraft, but they are mostly more rare ones such as the Duster and Cuban.

I own all the planes(Cept Miljet, new Velum, and Luxor since that's basically the white plane but painted black) as I want to fly what I want when I want, I usually get Titan at spawn points anyways,

 

And Hydra/Besra I use to get to one side of the map quickly

They're good for getting across the map quickly while avoiding griefers (as long as you in passive mode), I own a Cuban 800 for this exact reason.

I own a Cuban 800 and it's a fun plane. Plus, I can just call it up instead of getting the Mammatus or Titan - which both suck. Planes are really for cruising around, landing on the street/buildings and kamikaze. There's nothing else to do with them but owning at least one plane is, in my opinion, a must. You never know when you'll want to fly with friends.

I do a lot of flying and jumping. It's nice to know exactly what aircraft will spawn when I go to get one. Also, I love my Dodo.

 

Is there a reason to buy cars since they are all over the streets?

The Hydra is a must-buy, of course. Best vehicle in the game IMO, can dominate an entire session with one. Only downside is that it can only hold one person.

Planes are fun to fly, in my opinion. They're not all the same so I like owning them. There's no guarantee the one I want to fly at the time will spawn. Besides, I like getting my friends into the bigger jets and eventually smashing us all into a big building

True you can call Merryweather but they fly slow as hell but if I'm near Sandy Shores or the airport north of there whose name escapes me at the moment and I need to get back to the city fast, I can call a Besra and get there much faster than even if you jack the MW Maverick. During contact missions, a Buzzard, Savage, or Hydra can make some missions much faster and/or easier.

 

Also, flying is to me the most fun you can have in this game. I own a Besra, a Luxor, and a Hydra plus Buzzard and Savage choppers. I don't use the Luxor anymore since I got the Besra, but the rest I still use often.

.. yeah and make sure you don't buy a Hydra or you'll get put into bad sports lobby if you try and kill people. You can use that 3 mil piece of metal to fly around the clouds and think about life instead.
