I've never really had too much trouble with this mission before. It can be tough, but using cover effectively will lead to success 99% of the time. The last few times I've played this though, regardless of difficulty seems to be insanely hard. The enemy A.I is like Rooftop Rumple x2. Full health and armor, and I get I shot killed in a blink of a eye. Even being in cover, I still catch a magic bullet from time to time. Anyone else seem to notice this, or could this just be lag too?

I just did it and it seemed hard as well but then again I was playing with first timers...maybe you had a bad crew?

It seems different than before. The one guy on the stairway who used to be an impossible to kill murderbot now goes down easily. On the other hand, once you are out driving the decoy van, you can get drilled with 100 bulletholes in 1/100 of a second if you as much as slow down.

Bikers and some missions also got harder I think. Maybe it's just me but it seems the NPC accuracy when shooting from cars got increased from 'Bufallo Bill' to 'supercomputer laser sight'.

I've noticed this for a while. Full health and armor gone (lvl 154) in a blink of an eye from an enemy that's 200 yards away. I've stopped playing it with low levels because you pretty well need the extra health.

The biggest problem is the guy above you on the staircase. Most people dont know about him. The setup is a lot easier if u split teams, 2 guys go normal way and 2 guys drive the van to the other end of alley. Come at the enemy from both angles. Much easier. Call it a pro tip.

Same amount of npc's in the same spot every single time.

Sometimes though what happens is literally every gun is trained on one player. Just saw this the other day, I was standing RIGHT NEXT to a guy who also had full armor. I didn't get hit once, he died in about 2 seconds. They ALL shot at HIM exclusively.

I wonder if it's coded that way or just random bad luck?

Driving... Just drive! Don't worry about the shootouts, avoid traffic, it's actually easier than most drivers in the Decoy vehicle seem to make it.

Its lag i guess. It even caused me to auto-aim on my team mates and killed them instead with the auto-shotty. Killed them with a melee to sometimes. Lag can cause your team mates to be registered as enemies/peds for a short moment. The lag that said player must have, has to be enormous though. But it can happen.

I also had enemies surviving a direct hit with an RPG. I've seen all kinds of crazy the last month.

Hit by Lightning

If you want the easy way get on the van to activate the destination. Get off the van and drive your Kuruma after waypointing the destination and let the van follow you. When you arrive there get on the van again to activate the yellow mark. Everyone in the Kuruma and boom :D

Alternately you can just drive to the location once the mission starts, in your kuruma and get a bunch of kills while everyone else drives to the Van and then drives to the location. Plus less enemies shooting at teammates so higher chance of them not dying.

All the heists have had the Rooftop Rumble treatment to various extents. I was really hoping Rockstar wouldn't do this. I'm all for the hesits being difficult, or made difficult, but doing it by giving the AI unrealistic accuracy is really cheap and disappointing.

Yup this is how I do it but only one guy needs to get the van so you can bring the other two players to help you shoot. Just stay in the Kuruma and everyone will be safe.

All of the PSJ set-ups are easy, barely ever get hit. Hosts should be using "player saved outfits". Purchase Heavy Combat Armor, save it to your favorites, equip said armor before launch....its that simple folks.

Rock* gave us these items for a reason.....the Kuruma and Heavy combat armor are your best friends while doing Heists. All the CMM walkthroughs highly stress the use of both items mentioned, you think maybe they might be on to something here ?

Research, it does a body good.

I always summon my Karuma once we get there. Drive on in shooting up the place, then hop in the back and AP pistol enemies to Hell. I do wish people would set Player saved outfits to missions that NEED the super armor. You can easily get shot to death in the van if you don't watch your health or slow down.

It's already been mentioned that hosts should have 'player saved outfits' on before launching, use the Kuruma or kill the enemy AI before triggering the yellow dot, but the way I do it when with trusted crew is to have the van driver drop one off at the concrete blocks next to the trailer, drop two more players off at the front entrance, and the van driver then goes round to the other side entrance. Kill all that wants to kill you and enjoy the relatively easy drive home.

Such a simple mission, yet so many people die doing it.

If you want, do a pincer attack.

One or two guys coming from the left side alley and bust 3 enemies including the hiding ones further away.

Lean to the left wall, shoot the guy up in the staircase. He can't be auto-aimed. Another one is hiding behind a Granger next to the staircase. Two guys hiding behind trash bins which at this point should be in front of you. Another couple of mob on the left behind sedan and building.

Next one, let someone who knows there are accelerator and brake buttons to drive. The lag and pop up can be the killer here. Sometimes when you think you've dodged enemy's car, the next second they're immovably blocking your way. Lastly, the one who sits in the back should not open the door to shoot too much.

I've been doing that ever since the second time I had a go at the mission. Makes it a lot easier to take out the dudes hanging around the van in the little alcove off to the right too (if you're looking from the normal end).

My biggest problem is usually the pursuit cars. Even if the driver doesn't screw up, they can gank you in a heartbeat.

Do you wear the Heavy Combat suit combined with Bulletproof Helmet?

The lack of running is well worth the health boost in heist (it only increases health in heist).

I wear the heavy heist and helmet all the time and got clocked on this setup once. I was behind a wall. Poked around to shoot and BOOM. It was like one headshot with a shotgun and I was dead. I think it was just an anomaly since it never happened again (so far) but yes, I've seen this in Rooftop and in some gang attacks.

I've noticed an enemy on the roof of the building where the enemy on the stairs is sitting. It may be the same enemy. When he's on the roof, players get head shots from him. Quick death.

As the van pulls up to the marker, I go to the left of the main entrance to that alley, watching for the roof enemy and snipe the guy across way on the roof and enemies by the boxes.

No the enemy on the roof behind the exhaust is deadly but the guy they are talking about is at the top of some steps on the RIGHT side of the alley.

You can's see him on approach, there is something blocking the view and he often won't shoot so people don't know he's there til he kills them.
