mrtwex
Hi, i bought GTA V yesterday and i have been unable to install it, from what i've read it seems to be a Social Club Infinite Loading issue, but every fix in that category didnt make a difference Pic of the loading: http://gyazo.com/a3e82cf456811a4c1a4339e6f29b7da3 I own the game on Rockstar instead of Steam, so any Steam fixes dont work. I have a non-genuine (Fake Windows) Windows 7 x64. I have installed it on my second drive (not the one i have windows on). I havent installed GTA V because it is stuck at loading. My Specs: Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB VRAM OC (AMD) CPU: AMD FX 8350 4 GHz RAM: 8 GB Things i have already tried: Looking if my Windows User includes any non-english characters (which it didnt) De-Activating my Graphics Card (Even though im on a Gaming PC) Installing all recent Visual C++ versions Installing the most recent DirectX Installing most recent GPU drivers Installing Social Club Tried logging in manually (which didnt work at all) Tried installing the Setup Tool Again Tried Removing my anti-virus Tried running GTA V as a adminstrator Removing Rockstar in Appdata\Local There might be more, but if there are and you mention it i will say if i tried it already. Thanks for helping me! -Mikael Edited April 20, 2021 by mrtwex
cosmicdance
A couple of things you can try. Firstly - Go into Computer, Program Files, then right click on "Rockstar Games" and select "Properties." In the Security tab, click the "Edit" button next to "To change permissions, click edit." From there go through each user, check the checkbox marked "full control" and hit apply. The launcher will now have permission to install the updates. Secondly - Set your windows pagefile to system managed, if it isn't already - Click Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance then click System. Click on System managed Size. You will need to restart your PC after this to apply the settings. Andy Edited April 23, 2015 by cosmicdance
mrtwex
Didnt work. I think its disguisting that they can release a game so broken, yet so expensive and on top of that we had to wait 2 years.
CrazyLamer
Did you reinstall the social club client and then downloaded the launcher through the Social Club download page ? Might be just an corrupt install, hopefully. And also if you have done so already, try manually adding the social club launcher and downloader to the firewall or simply turn it off if you may and try it. Let me know if anything works, and send me a pm and i can look into it faster without having to check all threads, which i've replied to for 2 days now ^_^

I tried turning of the firewall as you said but that didnt work either. Edited April 20, 2021 by mrtwex
