Hariboo97
After the patch release I opened GTA V and the splash pops up and then disappears and nothing happens. I could play before the patch. Any ideas? Btw, im not using steam. Edited April 21, 2015 by Hariboo97
3rr0r
You can't turn NV PCSS with all shadows setting on normal. I think you need to have very high shadows setting to use NV PCSS. I have all settings set to the highest possible, but I can't seem to have the option to turn on NV PCSS shadows thats weird, I had that option on before this patch... lydianduck
Performance is the same for me (still can't push settings further or I get below 60fps in vinewood boulevard), also, the stuttering with v sync on hasn't been resolved yet.

So you still have to toggle vsync to get 60 fps steady? Damn People, dont get surprised by 350mb, it must just be some replacement rpf file, they must have done some tweaks inside and not an added 350mb to the game i believe. interfreak
I think there might be an issue with the grass...It seems that High/Very High are exactly the same, as I'm getting frame drops on High that I didn't get before. I switched to Very High and the drops are identical...can someone else test this out as well?
lydianduck
I tested the same dense grass spots as always (my grass is on 'high') and my framerate is the same (with v sync off im ALMOST below 60fps, but not quite), as I said, performance seems exactly the same for me. Have you tried turning v sync off, going back to the game, and turning it on again as people have reported? I (and others) need to do this everytime when first starting the game to avoid fps drops in certain areas. buzzbass
Downloading on Steam now, it's only 177mB on steam it seems.Steam downloads are compressed, check the files once they are downloaded in GTAV folder: GTA5.exe (48,9MB) + GTAVLauncher.exe (18,3MB) + update.rpf (313MB) = 380,2MB in total TheMostKnowledgable

With FXAA I have no issues at all (rock solid 60fps).

I do both, fxaa an AF in Nvidia CP and I turn those off in game. You can combine both fxaa btw, but it looks too blurry! (and there is a slight performance decrease when doing this -tested it on some dense grass spots) but it's like 2, or 3 frames.
