GTA online arm wrestling issue

Trying to win all the game types for the achievement, stuck on arm wrestling. Im using KB&M, and when trying it even with just a friend, spamming a and d, and him not doing ANYTHING it just sits there as if im not pressing anything. Is it bugged out?
