This is why. An apartment can hold many people, it makes sense,that in a lobby of say 32 you could possibly fit 32 people in that. Its a building with alot of homes in it. Therefore its more realistic that people could drive into the same garage door as you.

 

A mansion is 1 building. With 1 owner, not a whole tower blocks worth of people. It would suck seeing people drive into your garage. Ruins immersion and realism. Plus we all know everyone would get it. So it ruins immersion even more to see 5 or so people driving around inside your garage. Then the inevitable amount of shooting and sticky bombs placed around it.

This has already been posted. And already countered with, well there's houses to purchase in the game, 1 building; and guess what?! It works completely fine. Mansions are no different to houses in the game. I've been in sessions when I've had another person spawn in my Paleto Bay house. Didn't bother me one bit.

Personally i'd prefer some more interesting and varied vehicles rather than a bunch of rehashed exotics that drive fast in a straight line. I'd like to see some older cars in the way of a BMW E30 or something with a bunch of modification options (like the Sultan RS).

I retract my statement, you're right.

 

I wasn't really aware of the independence day house updates. My reasoning still stands that it sounds retarded to have multiple people shuffling out of a single story house, but either way in terms of urgency, i'd rather R* add more vehicles than spend time modeling house interiors that you spend 2% of your time inside of. I wouldn't even care of my Richards Majestic apartment was a cardboard box, all i need is to organise heists and a 10 car garage, that's it.

Houses, and mansions are completely different. While I love my house, I would just as well love a 10 car garage house as much as a mansion. But mansions would definitely be loved. They could add a dart board, and pool table in a type of game room. They could add the heist room, but also have an office as well. Perhaps a larger kitchen, and a dining room that isn't connected to the kitchen. They could add a gym like everyone had been talking about. I would like to see a small armory where we can store our guns that we aren't using instead of dropping them and wasting money. We could store ammo there as well as body armor. Mansions would be totally dope in my personal opinion. Also, mansions should not cost 12 million. If we get them they should be between 1, to 3 mil max depending on size. I want the PB mansion myself lol.

Such as having pool tables, card games etc.

 

You can drink whiskey, green juice, wine, smoke weed, listen to the radio and watch tv already in your apartments.

I really want a mansion or high end house. Hopefully they add a bunch, so we can spread out across the map more. Depending on windows that look out on your session in real time, I don't see why it would be difficult to give players many choices all over the map.

 

Maybe I'm alone, but I couldn't care less about having to potentially share my house with other players in my session. Small price to pay for a badass pad.

for 500k we should get mansions, not apartments.

In a city where gun fights happen 24/7 and half the time you leave any property you are shot down and there are millions of sticky bombings every day and lazers blowing up everyone and tanks and where even the least violent people are still probably running over a bunch of peds and getting away with it, there's no way anything, even a mansion, should cost more than 500k.

 

plus, everytime i try to play a game with a friend I randomly black out and feel like i am floating in the clouds above the city and then it's almost like i can picture words in front of me telling me I have lost connection. It's very weird and i'm pretty sure it must have something to do with the pollution in the air of this awful city.

 

on the other hand, the hospitals are top notch, you won't believe the stuff i've survived.

Mansions will never work. Apartments work because it's more believable to think that 30 people can live in an apartment complex, but it isn't believable to think that thirty people can live in one home. Plus, it would feel so freakin odd to see someone else coming out of your driveway.

I'd only welcome it if you could actually do stuff in it, like play Pool, Table Tennis, Darts and other games. Also, if you could have your own portable heli-pad so you can spawn in choppers or a Hydra. I see no other reason other then just another useless thing to grind for.

 

They also need to make it if you and someone else in the session own the same Mansion that you cannot see that person and they cannot see you. Would take you out of the immersion if you could see other players walking around in YOUR mansion. Also any outside activities like swimming in a pool or looking out your telescope makes you automatically passive mode so no one can snipe you or take you out with a Lazer or anything else for that matter.

We definitely need new apartments and mansions. I cannot stress how many of my PSN friends have gave up on GTA Online recently and don't sign in anymore. If they put these and have more interactive activities in them, people would play more. Rockstar should focus on refinement rather for the time being.

You don't see people driving in and out of your apartment garages, so what the hell are you talking about? Also, have you forgotten that R* already added houses that you can purchase? That's not to different then a Mansion. So not sure what point you're trying to make?? :S

 

The only thing I would worry about is after you exit your house but are still technically on your "property" (backyard/frontyard) that you can get killed or griefed. They need to make a virtual "fence" like a Hedge or actual fence where you are immune to all damage within that perimeter and so is everyone else you've "invited" to your mansion. Goes both ways. You cannot kill either. Essentially auto-passive mode.

Compound that with the fact that it replaces one of my 10 car garages with a 2 car garage.

 

My character lives on the road. He never sleeps. It would be cool to spawn into online and have your character wake up from sleeping in his car. That would add to the realism for me.

The Heist Update, in my opinion, did not meet my expectations. Too many reasons to point out. What I'm really hoping though is for Rockstar to make something like a "Suite Life" DLC. In this Update, we can be able to purchase more properties, like mansions, yachts, and investment properties like Movie Theaters, Cab Company, etc. Newer cars that resemble cars like the Jaguar XJ and the Porsche Panamera. Investing in the BAWSAQ is another idea too. There are soo many good ideas for a DLC like this, I'm just curious into why Rockstar never delivered on this.

Expectations? You honestly thought Rockstar would add a lot of other things in the heist update? If history tough us anything, don't put too much trust into Rockstar with updates. Mostly 90% of all updates are filled with sh*t (my opinion) They fail to listen to their customers, the ones that pay their bills.

I highly doubt people stopped playing gta let along their systems because we don't have mansions or another apartment. I seen people stop playing because updates have been sh*t BUT I doubt most of them would come back because we can buy an over priced bong palace.

You guys have too high expectations. The heist update was huge and they did listen to their customers. They pretty much show that every time.

1. People wanted Hooded Sweaters - got em, albeit with a mask.
2. People wanted military uniforms - got em
3. People wanted more miltary vehicles - got em
4. People wanted their own jets - got em
5. People wanted a 2nd garage - got it
6. People wanted a 3rd garage - got it
7. People wanted more properties outside of LS - got em
8. People wanted Monster Trucks - got em, twice
9. People wanted flight suits - got em, twice
10. People wanted passive mode in vehicles - got it
11. People wanted gloves - even got the specific gloves with finger holes that I've seen people ask for

As much as it would be nice to be able to purchase and live in a mansion, you can pretty much guarantee that it would be mostly empty and you'd get bored having to run around the place to get from room to room. You could be in the master bedroom and when Fufu rings the bell because you invited her over, it would take so long to get to the door that she'd have left.

 

What I'd rather see is mansions and other large buildings just opened up so we can use the interiors. I don't want to live in a mansion. I want a shoot-out in one.

I dreamed about GTAO update last night and I could buy 4th property with mansions featured.

 

But mansions only can hold 2 and 6 vehicles in their garage. I woke up before I tried buying one.

 

Hopefully that will to come true, because I also had a dream of I'm being in an attack helicopter with someone else, while 2 other guys were fighting on the ground, and then that became dejavu during Humane Heist.

Whats funny is on that highway along the left side of the map. You pass by tons of big houses and beachfront houses with for sale signs on em. Also The jackal and exemplar is as close as its gonna get for an XJ and panamera. But hey the furore(however its spelt) is kinda like an F Type.
