Mansions...anyone?

The Heist Update, in my opinion, did not meet my expectations. Too many reasons to point out. What I'm really hoping though is for Rockstar to make something like a "Suite Life" DLC. In this Update, we can be able to purchase more properties, like mansions, yachts, and investment properties like Movie Theaters, Cab Company, etc. Newer cars that resemble cars like the Jaguar XJ and the Porsche Panamera. Investing in the BAWSAQ is another idea too. There are soo many good ideas for a DLC like this, I'm just curious into why Rockstar never delivered on this.

There are a lot of mansions ready, luxury vehicles like the Testarossa or some Porsches would fit nice but apparently they only have time to add the next weapon of massive destruction or some explosive drone. Expect a nuke before mansions.

The problem didnt lie with R* not delivering but rather your expectations. Some people expect too much from R*.

How would investment properties work? What if another player and I both own the same property, and we're both in the same session at the time when the property pays out? It wouldn't be realistic for us both to get paid. But since there would be a limited number of properties to own, this scenario wouldn't be too unlikely. Then again, I suppose realism need not be a concern, since it's never played a big role in this game so far, so I guess we could both get paid.

Mansions will never work. Apartments work because it's more believable to think that 30 people can live in an apartment complex, but it isn't believable to think that thirty people can live in one home. Plus, it would feel so freakin odd to see someone else coming out of your driveway.

There is too much untapped potential and money to not include things such as mansions, especially when they can cost millions.

When you bear in mind that this is the first iteration of GTAO, Rockstar have delivered SO much content.

 

I can't wait to see wht they have for us in future. No doubt they will add more detail like the OP wants. But having said that, do I ever really want to own a cinema?

I really don't care about mansions. If you could have ten car garages with a heist planning area then I would be set.

 

Could not even tell you what my apartment looks like. I got lost looking for my heist room. A mansion would be waste of time for me and I would dare say, a lot of people.

during the early days i really wanted a mantion, then i became a billionaire and got to live in all high end apartments and notice that not only they all look the same, but that there is NOTHING to do in them...

 

in the current state, mantions would be nothing more than a huge aparment.

 

i'd buy one if it comes with a 20-30 car garage and a "personal" helipad where pegasus can spawn my swift... very corporate!

As much as it would be nice to be able to purchase and live in a mansion, you can pretty much guarantee that it would be mostly empty and you'd get bored having to run around the place to get from room to room. You could be in the master bedroom and when Fufu rings the bell because you invited her over, it would take so long to get to the door that she'd have left.

 

What I'd rather see is mansions and other large buildings just opened up so we can use the interiors. I don't want to live in a mansion. I want a shoot-out in one.

Nobody is gonna care for mansions longer then 1 week after half of the players have one unless they have some true advantage over the good old appartments that almost noboddy cares about exept for the heist room

We have houses we can buy in GTA. Isn't an issue when two people own the same one in a session.

Mansions need 20 car garage, helipad on the roof or yard(Guaranteed spawn, let us order from Pegasus like vehicle select in SP hangars/helipads) or I'd ignore them

If a top end mansion is say 10m then I doubt everyone in the lobby will own it.

 

The Pegasus spawns are annoying so yes we need a helipad...we need a 20 car garage also...20 new pvs...my 20mil will vanish lol.

I want to own businesses and do random missions like in SP, as well as having put upfront costs for occasional events/upgrades to said business. BAWSAQ would be great for market fluctuations that change week by week in real world time. Added income aside from Heists and missions generated from a business (or few) could make it easier to save up for mansions.

As for mansion interiors, there should a variety of SP or MP activities inside. Have a theater room, an armory, a helipad, a view to the city, custom car upgrades options not offered in LSC, ability to play poker and other card games, ability to own pets.

 

However, to keep the game fresh, mansions should be rank locked. And mansion specific heists should be accompanied with the mansions update.

 

As for business, like in Vice City Stories, they should be able to be attacked, however to avoid abusing this system, there would be specific times this event is allowed.

 

Previous GTA cars should also be included in said update, such as the 2 door Sultan RS, the GTA IV Sentinel, GTA IV Comet, as well as introducing several new cars as well. E30 M3 style Sentinel would be perfect and Heist locked like the Casco, multiple jets and helicopters, as well.

 

I also want random events like in SP as well, not related to businesses.

 

I don't see why an update like this couldn't happen.

mansions are a waste, we can now have 3 apartments/small houses and yet no one stays at them, they freeroam instead, so what makes you think mansions would magically fix anything? they would be hyped for a week then everyone will kick them to the curb and want more sh*t.
