Savage vs Buzzard

So, in other words, it's a small difference.

No.. not at all. I assume you haven't seen a Savage's cannon used? A single bullet will make a car explode. It takes like 9 bullets to destroy a tank or insurgent. It would take a Buzzard about 5 minutes of direct fire to ignite an insurgent/tank.

You've used a lazer before right? You do know how powerful those cannons are?

I...I have them both as said earlier. A single bullet? idk 5 minutes of direct fire to ignite Insurgent? Maybe...Tank? No...I have the Hydra and have flown the Lazer many times. The cannons are powerful, but I didn't think they were whole lot more powerful than Buzzard.

I'd say they are both hundreds of times more powerful then the buzzard.

Thing is, the cannon is only useful if you're going to try to shoot someone on the ground, but then they'll just get out the Homing Launcher. I like using the Continuous Rockets on other "pilots".

What's the difference between these two helicopters combat wise of course, and why is the Savage more expensive?

They both have the explosive cannon so I'm not sure it's much different.

Savage:

  • Slower
  • Continuous Rocket Firing
Buzzard:
  • Faster
  • Smaller
  • 2 Rocket Firing

I have both and they're great. (Tip: If a Special Crate is going to drop soon, get in a Buzzard and go into Passive Mode. Hover around the "VINEWOOD" letters and as soon as you see the message that the crate is getting ready to drop just head to the spot. Stay in the air until it actually drops and once it lands and land the Buzzard next to the crate. Get out, get crate, get in and leave the scene.)

The Buzzard has an explosive cannon now? I thought it was just normal MG.

I'm not sure what it's called in the Buzzard, but I'm pretty sure they do about the same thing.
Not even close.

Ok, what's the difference?

The Buzzards are just like normal mini guns, whereas the Savages is an explosive cannon similar to the Lazer or Hydras. Each bullet causes an explosion from the Savage, whereas the buzzard is just a normal mini gun.

So, in other words, it's a small difference. No, having explosive rounds compared to regular non explosive rounds is a pretty big difference.

Watch that video. Then spray a tank with the Buzzard miniguns, and see the difference.

Savage :

+

~ heavy firepower

~ unlimited rocket launchers

~ explosive minigun and faster firerate than jets

~ unique cockpit

~ retractable landing gear

-

~ large size with long rotor blades and tail rotor can be problem when landing and tailrotor itself does not have strike guard

~ it's actually weak despite it has an armor

~ fit to helicopter's size , quite slow

~ long time entering/bailing from the cockpit , just like rhino's hatch

buzzard

+

~ relies on agility & speed

~ dual minigun

~ co-pilot able to use the camera , which means using the rocket launcher manually

~ small tailrotor means difficult get shot

~ like most of helicopter that has normal cockpit , buzzard's cockpit speed up front occupant's bailout time

-

~ as the size suggest , it's weak especially when get shot on back which is the engine

~ because of bubble canopy , the front occupants is very vuneable aganist auto-aim

~ fires up to 2 rockets before overheat

~ in hand of inexperienced helicopter pilot , using the minigun can be difficult due to turbulence , even at 100/100 flying skill

Strange Town

Savage has better weaponry but has the resistance of a wet paper. It's better used in missions

Savage > Buzzard imo because Hind D and Metal Gear memories.

But honestly in freeroam, the Buzzard will likely escape the public lobby warzone more often than not than a Savage due to the maneuverability and small size.

IF they buffed the armor of the Savage to withstand two homing missiles before disabling and a third to destroy, then the comparison gets less favorable for the Buzzard.

As of now the Savage is a great machine for grinding missions. For PvP? Not so much.

A HIND D?!

COLONEL,WHAT'S A RUSSIAN GUNSHIP DOING HERE?!
