Microphone not working

I bought GTAV on PC using a digital download code for Rockstar social club. While playing I have noticed that my microphone will not work, I make sure my mic is working by testing it in skype, its active and default in the volume controls (As well as the ONLY mic on the computer). I have checked my settings in game and tried push to talk, and voice activated and made sure I had voice turned on and set to all players.

 

Windows 7 64x

4GB RAM

GTX 750 Ti

FX-6300

 

The headset is a razer carcharias. And all drivers on my computer are up to date.

 

[sOLVED] I finally gave in and reinstalled (was hoping I didn't have to do that) the game and suddenly the mic works.

Try changing the source from mic on your settings, mine did not work at first. But after searching for different source it suddenly works. To verify if your mic works, on Voice Chat settings you can see there's a Mic Volume, if the bar raise while you are talking then it means your mic is now working properly.

There is no other source for my mic in the settings, because even on the sound manager in the control panel only the "Microphone VIA high definition audio" Default device is active.
