Blood In Water

Anyone notice that when you kill someone and they fall in the water before the blood pool effect spawns it turns the water red. Except in the pc version so far it barley shows it. In ps3/xbox360 version the blood was a bright red mist in the water. Does this have to do with the quality of the water in the settings?
