trip
Damn. I read the whole thing. I'd love another Alan Wake. Didn't the writer dude get pissed off and list the game (first AW) for $1 on Steam as some sort of protest to something? Pavle
Damn, that prototype/demo looks sick. Too bad it got canceled.
Mr. Scratch
It wasn't canceled, it just didn't properly get started... yet. Trip: He wasn't pissed off about anything, it's the other way around. The Humble Bundle sale was as a sort of apology because people expected AW2 and instead they announced Quantum Break. trip
Ahhh. Thanks for that tid bit. I only half ass read gaf and quarterto3. Nice to know he isn't pissed off. It would be great to get an Alan Wake 2. Even an episodic based release would be sweet. I fear Quantum is going to blow since they built it around the idea of xbox one being integrated with TV and all that stupid MS media studio (or whatever they called their live action studio) stuff. There is hope...but f*ck...I'm sick of having to wait 2 or 3 years for the games I want. Mr. Scratch
Seriously? Quantum Break looks amazing so far, no one's ever done something like this before. Making a tv show and a videogame in one.
trip
I don't know. It seemed kind of hokie and gimmicky...neat but still. I actually expected it to die on the vine when MS folded their live action studio division this past year. Mr. Scratch
Remedy is pretty much like Valve, they can't make a bad game.
KilnerLUFC
It wasn't canceled, it just didn't properly get started... yet. Not saying you're wrong, but pretty sure I read somewhere that the game had actually got started on, but was cancelled for one reason or another. Would have loved another AW game tbh, even if I didn't actually manage to complete the first one (lack of bullets and trapped at a checkpoint made me give it up). Mr. Scratch
That's more of an alpha version, if anything. Have you even read the article/watched the video?
darthYENIK
I'd love a sequel to Alan Wake, but at the same time, I feel like Alan's story was told. Doing another game with him would feel wrong in a way. To be a true Alan Wake sequel, I would want to see a game where you thought it was one thing, and then an hour or two in they completely blindside you and you realize it's a sequel. Like you're playing as one character, and slowly you gain a flashlight and it hurts an enemy, then you realize Alan is writing the story you're living. It would have to be crazy like that to feel genuine.
lh1
maybe Phil doesn't want an exclusive horror game on Xbox One so he told Remedy I like Alan Wake 2 but make it less horror and we got Quantum Break
Mr. Scratch
We'll get a sequel, sooner or later. Who knows, we might get to play as his wife or something.
VCRules86
I've always said that the only thing that would ever make me get an Xbox One is if they made Alan Wake 2. I hope this sees the light of day in the future and makes me empty my wallet.
Mr. Scratch
We'll get it someday, just a matter of time.

BTW, it is highly likely for Alan Wake 2 to go multiplatform including a release on PS4. They way I see it, Quantum Break series is Xbox exclusive, while Alan Wake isn't. Quantum Break is probably developed to get more funds from Microsoft and maybe Remedy would use the extra funds or profits generated from Quantum Break on Alan Wake. Not sure about you, but I personally see this as a win-win situation. Edited April 24, 2015 by lh1
Pumpkin Zone
I'm in the opinion that Sam Lake can absolutely do no wrong. Remedy as a whole, for that matter. I'm looking forward to Quantum Break but after I had seen that unreleased AW2 footage I remembered how much I LOVED the first game (and American Nightmare too). I'm sure we'll get AW2, but it's going to be far off seeing as how we still have to wait until 2016 for Quantum Break.
