dcp92
I recently connected my 360 to the Internet for the first time in several years. I did a system update, downloaded some DLC for GTA V, and did an update for the game that came up once I launched the game. Afterwards I accessed my old files as usual. When I did all this I had to relocate my Xbox to another location that had Internet access in order to make the downloads. When I played up until this point I was never connected to Xbox live but was still signed into my user account. I assume all of my saved data (all offline data like story mode) was saved on my hard drive regardless of whether or not I was connected to the Internet. Yet not when I launch the game (where I am not and cannot connect to the Internet, but is the same location I have always played), I start from the beginning and it says I cannot load my files unless I connect to the Internet. Shouldn't my saved data be there since it was offline data and that's how I'm trying to play? I think my data still exists but for some reason I can't access it without being connected to the Internet. I don't think accessing data on my hard drive should require that. And yes, my hard drive says the data is still there. Help??
