Burbalade's Workshop

Nice to see you've finally opened up a workshop, always nice to see kitbashes are coming up in style, as opposed to SOOPER DOOPER HIGH FIVE POLY vehicles.

Keep up the good work, I'll be looking forward to what you bring to the table :^:

Thanks! There seems to be an abundance of sedans with odd proportions in San Andreas so I'll be doing something about those as well.

A lot of stuff in SA seemed to be out of proportion, sorta. It's not that shattering of an experience for me, though. I just think to myself "hey, that sure is one wide interior and CJ sure sits far from the steering wheel", but then I remember I drive an SUV for work and I sit abnormally close to the wheel so I try not to call the kettle black.

Updated first post with pictures.

STOP AMAZING ME. Seriously, good sh*t. Your Premier looks a lot better than my Makina, especially with the proper light colors and the likes.

Does Universetwisters have competition? ;)

Competetion is always good from an economical standpoint, if you have a competitor you're inclined to increase the quality, consistency, and so fourth.

This would be relevant, of course, assuming people aren't getting 3984329832 poly cars like they were hot cakes. In this case it's friendly competition in a crazy niche thing.

I can agree with you there. It's obviously not a gameplay breaking issue but none the less it's something I'll try to remedy while I'm here. Some will get replaced entirely, others will have the proportions reworked.

Indeed I am. I kept that account open so I wouldn't run into any issues updating mods and such, but maybe I'll contact an admin and see if I can just have them transferred to the new account.

I'm not so sure competition is even the way I'd word it, we're more or less working towards the same goals. All of us have different strengths and weaknesses and slightly different style so even when working on similar projects the final products will be different. Not necessarily better or worse, as one person may prefer mine while the next prefers his or someone else's. It's a community effort and if we didn't enjoy making these we probably wouldn't still be doing it after all these years.

Nice job. It really look better than mine.

Was yours the one with more squarish early GM van style tail lights or am I thinking of a different truck? If so it certainly doesn't look bad but they're just styled a bit different. That one was more 80s style while mine is more 90s style. Either one works seeing as the GM body style the utility truck was based on ran 88-98. Hell the Rancher is a bit of a mix of that body style and the previous 73-87.

I love how you got the actual license plates done did up, none of this single texture bullsh*t from III/VC. Are you gonna add on an SA styled steering wheel aswell or keep the original?

Yep. Need to get all the dummys set up for car mods, will be getting SA steering wheel, door panels, gas cap, etc. It's got the 3d lights with the working SA textures behind the original light textures. The idea is to get everything up to SA spec on any vehicle I convert over from an earlier game. Only thing I wont be swapping over to SA style is the body map since they took the time to make individual body maps for the VC cars.

You know what would be neat, come think of it? If you could take the Sentinel from III and give it a split grille so it looks like an actual BMW.

Funny I'm saying this since I hate getting requests

Dang, that looks great. Quick question, Is that only a two door vehicle?

Four door, just a very early version.

yknow thats like exactly what I had pictured in my noggin. That's bananas man though, that would look great as an FBI variant as well.

Looking fabulous and sh*t

Shame you aren't releasing them quite yet evidently, I saw you posted the VC Premier on GTAG and evidently there's no files or pictures or anything. I never quite got why folks did that.

Started one for the Infernus as well. I've got pictures uploaded for everything on GTAG and files uploaded for the DFT Box Truck and Steed, everything is just waiting on approval. Premier is almost ready to go, just needs a few minor bug fixes and I'll have it uploaded as well.

If you're waiting to be approved, you could always post it in here. I used to do that all the time until evidently they started approving my stuff automatically since I was making so much, or however that works.
