Blitz Play Crash Solution- Please Confirm

To fix this problem:

 

"Go to: C:\Users(your name)\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles(profile folder)

Now delete the following two files:

cfg.dat
pc_settings.bin

Now load the game up, adjust your brightness settings and controls, DO NOT GO INTO THE "Saving and Startup" menu.

Enter story mode and do Blitz Play, don't worry about using C4 or grenades. Just play as usual. And you will pass the mission no problem!!!!

I would like users that have/are experiencing this bug to confirm this.

 

Did you figure this out on your own or did you read about this solution somewhere?? If so can you provide a link?

Near the end of this mission-- Franklin makes a phone call to Michael after destroying the garbage truck--- during the call the game automatically switches to Michael--- if they are too far apart.... the game goes into the view from above where the game zooms out on one character and zooms in on the other--- during this transition, the game crashes....

 

The work around is to park the getaway vehicle so that when Franklin makes the call he is close enough to Michael that the transition occurs without the zoom out/zoom in.....

 

It has also been reported that the bug occurs during the mission Caida Libre but it does not seem to be as prevailent as this one.

 

 

 

Anyway- I would like for some people to confirm this fix works.....
