It's awesome to see players getting more into drifting than ever before. You guys are doing an awesome job, one thing to help get better is to make sure your lines are consistent and smooth. Try flicking your left analog stick forward and hold it. Swing left to right giving your steering a bit more smoothness to it allowing your drifts to be much more consistent and less sloppy.

I have been using my normal Kuruma for drifting. I practice down by the docks, where do you all practice? The docks has aa good mix of turns with little npc traffic and there are numerous other objects to drift around.

Would anybody be down for a meet where we can film each other drifting and such. Drifting is always fun with others.

I'm quite new to hand braking on this game having always used simple breaking to go round corners. Even now I don't like to risk drifting because of unwanted collisons, etc..

Any of you guys got advice for me?

Try to stay on the right side of the road and expect a car in your face every corner wich will intentionally run into you. Thats just GTA.

I hate the drifting scene IRL, but in GTA its too fun to pass up.

Favorite drift car to date is probably the Banshee, though the Bullet comes a close second. The Voltic is suprisingly good with this.

I really like sliding around in the Blackfin, and in the dirt sliding around the Brawler. Very fun vehicles to drive.

What console are you on? I've hosted a few meets on 360 and X1 in the past and would like to start doing more soon

My advice would be learn how your car handles. Some cars require a lot of hand break others less. Try practacing down at the docks where you deliver cars to Simeon there's lots of room for error

You guys should really try the Adder for drifting. Holy sh*t I can get big slides on it even on dry conditions.

That's why I still drive it, out of all the slidey cars it has to be the fastest in the game. Gives it a niche I think.

Other cars I like for drifting/powersliding that aren't usually considered are the Super Diamond and the JB700. The Diamond is slow and stately but when it goes into a slide it really goes for it and is very controllable. If you've got enough room you can do huge drifts with it.

The JB700 is capable of some really nice and fairly controllable slides but it can also do the GTA version of drifting where you tap handbrake regularly and work the front wheels side to side. It's somewhere inbetween a Futo and a Schwartzer for that style of drifting.

New Video

Not easy going as sideways as that for as long as that without any damage to your car, nice one.

I'm going to have a crack at another video if I can get the hang of the editor haha.

I wanted to bump this thread to remind people about it as I know there's a fair few people who like drifting or powersliding if you prefer and this thread is here for any videos or discussions etc, but I didn't want to bump just for the hell of it so I made a new video.

It's my first time using the editor so it's a bit rough and ready in places but it was good fun to make while learning as I went along. Let me know if you can't watch it for whatever reason (copyright probably) and I'll see what I can do. It's just me sliding round some corners in a few of my cars, it's probably nothing very impressive but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Cheers!
