Isolated
All settings range from High-Very High MSAA is off My FPS stays between the high 40s and 60s. Mostly in the High 60s, just depends on where im at on the map i suppose I don't know about you guys, but I have to give Rockstar Credit. They've made this game's graphics stunning on the PC. It almost looks real. Also!!! This was my 3rd time using Rockstar Editor, as you could tell near the end of the video It was a little better, that's because I played around with some settings MY SPECS: Motherboard: MSI 970A‑G43CPU: AMDFX-8300 overclocked at 4.5GHzGPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5RAM: 8GB Kingston Hyper X 1866MhzPSU: NZXT 550 Watt 80+ BronzeSSD: Kingston Hyper X 3KHDD(s): Two 300GB 7200 RPM hard drivesMonitor: 23'' Acer LED MonitorHeadset: Razer Kraken 7.1 USB Gaming Headset Edited April 20, 2015 by Isolated

calvooo
How do you play all on high with 2gb vram? I dont understand that. Are textures set on high to? If yes, what is your vram usage? I gues is around 3gb.. I have gigabyte r9 270x 2gb and cant play all on high. It use 2,5gb or more vram.

Just turn on the "Ignore Suggested Limits Feature" and that'll let you override the limited amount VRAM you have available. and actually my Textures are set to "Very High" and Shaders set to "Very High"
ienvy
I have 2gb vram too and I use a mix of high/very high aswell at 1080p. My textures are set to very high and I get same FPS as the OP (mostly sits at around 63-65 FPS but in certain areas can be steady at 55 FPS or steady at up to 80 FPS) Edited April 20, 2015 by ienvy
calvooo
As far as I know, this is not clever decision. Can cause gpu overheating, unstable frames and stuttering. If Im wrong, tell me. And do you need great cooling system if you do that?

BigBadMF
I spent a couple of hours experimenting with my settings yesterday. I tried the "ignore suggested limits" feature for a bit, but was having issues getting things to look right and getting good framerates in the 40-60 fps range while tweaking other settings, so I went back to limiting vram usage. Got the other settings ironed out, so next step tonight is to ignore suggested limits again. I have good cooling on my machine, so I will run some more tests tonight, this time focusing on pc temps and framerates. The nice thing about this game (and my PC I built to run it) is that I have many options for upgrading my hardware in the future. My mobo will handle up to 32GB of PC2100 ram, I can upgrade my 8-core CPU as there are three other AMD CPUs that are faster, and I can always blow more money on a vid card with more vram. So even though I figure I am about a max of 75% of hardware specs necessary to run it all out, the future upgrade possibilities and the fact it looks so damn good with what I have, I am fine with it. Yes, it is everything Rockstar said it would be, and as updates and optimization tweaks come out, it is going to only get better.
BigBadMF
One other thing that adds realism to the game that is something most people do not notice. Lens flare - you can see it just behind the billboard: It gives the illusion that this is video being filmed from a video or film camera. Definitely adds realism to the game. (Make sure that "ignore suggested limits" is on) Just turn everything up except for msaa, shaders, grass, and postfx. (Those are the ones that hog performance!) Good luck! P.S. My specs are in sig.
