Why is GTAO so boring?

The thing is, you are logging in, get in your car and select a job. Then you do it, finish it and that over and over again.

I rather play story mode than this.

Online Heists, Racing, Missions. Best thing ever

It's not boring. For me it would be better than singleplayer if the loading screens weren't so long to join online, then to join a job and then to start the job.

There's also the problem that it's hard to find a queue to play a job, either they're all full or they're empty (at least for me).

I totally understand when you say it's boring. Also, the infinite spam of loading screens is very, very annoying.

I did some races, and sometimes it's quite fun, but it's not really what I want. Maybe heists are better? But first I need to get lvl15.

Also, I think GTA:O is better when you play with friends, not with random idiots, trolls, disconnecters, babies, freaks etc.

You just have a bad outlook on it. What did you expect to do in GTA:O? Play a Sims adaptation?

Find some friends. It's a completely different experience.

For me SP and Online are almost equal, sometimes online is even more fun just because of almost the same SP experience just with friends (free-roam)

Do you have someone to play with?

Im playing with 3 friends and we're having so much fun. Even if some of the jobs are the same over and over. The heists are amazingly fun to play.

I would like the game online, if it's not for those morons who have fun just killing other players over and over again.....

There isn't really much need for free roam. All of GTAO could be done from a central lobby or your apartment. They should have added in some small amount of storyline with a bad guy you slowly work towards taking down.

There's SO much more to GTAO than just driving around. People are just lazy and are too quick to jump to conclusions. Take your time with the game. There's a reason its still going strong after 1.5 years.

It wouldn't be GTA online without freeroam. Some people actually enjoy doing the many different things online freeroam offers.

GTA online free roam is all about messing with other players.

Its how you manage to do it that decides how much fun youre having. Alot of people seem to think its hilarious to just kill the same 2 dudes over and over again.. Personally, I think thats stupid, and I wouldnt be able to find the fun bit in that in a million years. BUT! What I do like is shooting peoples tires, stealing their cars, trap them in stores, annoy them by riding next to them on a bike and honk at them forever and ever and otherwise be generally annoying in various creative ways which I wont go into detail in here.

Atleast, thats how I think of GTA:O

I don't like GTAO for two reasons

1. Money, Rockstar wants you to pay real money for it so they make it very hard to get in game (and jacked up prices on EVERYTHING online, and job payouts are ridiculously small) so you need even more money than you would in SP, again because they want you to pay for it.

2. Player progression takes ages, unlocking everything takes ages, and everything is locked until you spend hours upon hours leveling up.

GTAO is a sad attempt by Rockstar to monetize not only the single player, but also multiplayer. It's also a sad attempt at MMO style progression and leveling that takes far too long for me to take seriously, cause seriously, I'm not going to spend my entire life playing GTAO but GTAO is geared toward those who spend the most time and money, not my cup of tea. Give me Simple Native Trainer and online would be an absolute blast. Right now, it's a restricted and limited experience that takes far too much time and money unlock and therefore is not even close to enjoyable. It's a waste of time.

You get over $100,000 from just 5 jobs given by Lester, just cause you're too lazy to actually play missions doesn't mean Rockstar is greedy. I've got over 15 vehicles and I've spent over 2.5 mill ingame and I haven't spent a penny of my real money. Play the damn game to make your money and stop making bogus claims. It's always Rockstar's fault with you ungrateful ones.

1. Dont Pay. Instead Play

2. Better than finishing the sh*t in few hours like every other game

To both do-nothing-but-gaming losers above me, I'm not devoting my entire life to GTA. Sorry.

And so you're saying heists only bring $20,000 a job? That's a joke! Lmao! Have fun wasting your pathetic lives away. I'll wait for simple native trainer rather than be a slave to the GTA monetary system.

Heists pay a lot. I played 4 heists and received over 1 mil. Guess you did not even try GTAO Loser. Oh wait, u wanna use trainer.? You must be in School now

Nah, I don't feel like playing 200 hours to reach level 12 and buy a "high end apartment" to unlock heists.

Yea, I hear ya...but it will make you a better player. I mid my own biz, as far as I usually don't shoot first...but I stay somewhere I can duck and shoot just in-case the guy/gal is a menace. It can be fun once you learn that most are stupid and will walk into an ambush.

Took awhile to get a hang of it, as I was new to MP when the PS version came out. After getting my ass handed to me more than once, now I can hit 'em back with techniques learned like: having "go to" spots where you can setup a quick defensive posit. Knowing what weapon type depends on type of bogey. Knowing how to use the map and how to use "off radar" effectively to track and kill any offender or bounty. On and on...

It will eventually force you to use your head when some ahole comes-a-callin'.

BTW: one of the hardest things to do when it's crunch time is to stay calm and not rush or panic. When flustered you'll miss the weapon wheel or accidentally pop out of cover too soon etc.

Anyhow, good luck!

Play with a friend and have fun. Alone it is boring. I'm playing with just one friend and its a lot of fun. Whats not to like about racing with others, doing coop missions, parachuting, fighting with jets, diving together, exploring the world, fighting other players etc?

Because GTAOnline is actually 1984, you do things Rockstar's way, or else you'll be disconnected.

"There's a reason its still going strong after 1.5 years." ya because R* has released a new GTA V every year for 3 years.

From limited personal experience with GTAO on PS3 it seems like the kind of thing only fun with friends. It's a boring slog otherwise.

Little Red Nurgling

Just stick to SP if you don't have friends to play with; you'll get much more action out of the incoming surge of mods than you will get from screwing around with randoms.
