[Spoiler alert] Did rockstar try to BURY the franchise with Gta 5 ?

Just because they killed off some characters doesn't mean R* is trying to bury GTA... Those characters that have died can have a chance to come back in a prequel I mean we havent seen the HD era in the 90's or the 80's it could be an opportunity to explore those era's and maybe we see some familiar faces.

R* has killed off characters before so it's nothing new back in the III era I remember playing LCS, and SA first before playing III where in LCS and in SA you are working with Salvatore then in III I had to kill him I was shocked. Then VCS and VC with Vic Vance...

Anyway Maybe they are trying to start a new universe comic books do it all the time and it works for them. As much as I like the HD era I think they should end it and start fresh.

Billion dollar game is certainly not the end of the franchise. They were clearly much more money minded with this one though.

But seriously why would Rockstar bury the series. They have already said they have enough ideas for 50 years. And its the most popular open world game in the world with a good replay value. Every game had something unique.

I mean for one that was only an easter egg about CJ when they where talking about a dude who ran the families in Grove street way back, and that is because the HD universe has nothing to do with f*cking 3D universe. So, OP and all SA fanboys, get that through your thick skull. Same thing goes to anyone who denies the universes being seperate, because R* confirmed this themselfs.

 

Second, the fact that Packie says Niko is dead is something that will leave in speculation, he may not be dead at all because in game Packie was only guessing, he wasn't saying ''UGGGHHH YEAH MY OLD EASTERN EUROPEAN BUDDY DIED, TOO BAD TOO BADDDD :('' so, get that through your thick skull OP.

The VC "reference" is a huge, unrealistic longshot. VC was set 30 years prior to V ffs!

They aren't trying to bury the series. It's just a case of many bad decisions, which is indicitive of the wrong people being in control of important decisions. IMO, V is not fun like previous GTA's. I talked about how bad the radio music decisions were right after release. I also called out R* on the vehicle damage. People were saying that I was just a "hater", etc., etc.. The thing with GTAV is that there are many bad decisions rolled up in one. I think R* was more concerned on how much money they could make instead of being concerned about quality of the game they were building. In other words, they were just looking to ca$h in with GTA V, -and they did. But I think it stained their legacy. But when the next GTA comes out in 2020, many will have forgotten and line up and buy it all over. It will probably be soley online. That way, R* can keep their hands in everybody's wallets and purses. But rest assured that there is a game coming that will dethrone GTA. It will be announced 2016.

Thats exactly what I think, actually they dit not try to bury GTA's games cuz the franchise is already f*cking buried! The minute the game was put on sale, the entire franchise was f*cked. The minute R* make an online with more content than the SP, they was f*cked. The minute the game was put on sale with a such lack of content, we were f*cked. The minute R* received orders to f*cked the game... You know what I mean. And even if all the 3/4 of humans on this f*cking planet buy the game, it does not make GTA 5 a good GTA and it does even less saves the franchise, thats all. It's f*cking bad when u see the previous GTA's, I hope they will move their f*cking ass for GTA 6 and put back their old politic in their company because to me, they are in bad way.

I agree with you on the car damage..........but i don't agree with the radio............... the radio had more stand out songs then iv and there is more then 100 song they couldn't put it in gta v but eventually they did....(i don't care about the talk radio)................and i don't think rockstar made a game with a 130 million dollar budget that is less better version then it's old gta's (that's of course whether you liked the story or not)...........i hate it v's story at first but now i liked it but i still criticized (for the lack of development for franklin-shortness) but overall it's good .....could be better of course (but this isn't the subject)................i know you take V as an example of big fail and a money whore despite being a big success and it was well recieved by critics (i know they are paid don't argue with me about that pls )............and of course they are looking for cash this how the world works this why a lot of people make vidoegames they aren't just going sell it for free (Go a head and deny it) and the game got even delayed and got even more for the pc (gta v can run in intel hd now) that's mean they care about it...........and i don't think gta v will be forgotten maybe you will but not me and how did you know it will be forgotten by 2020 do you predict the future? why not 2018.........and rockstar always make great marketing for their gta games why do i feel that you say that v the only rockstar game with great marketing it's not the first time.......... this how rockstar do since gta 2(i know you're going to deny this too.......well maybe i don't know ) even the marketing and the budget for making V wasn't even bigger then destiny but for some reason it didn't get a lot of hate like gta v got (destiny was praised for a lot for it's multiplayer tho).

Gta 4 (despite being the best gta story for me) it's already a forgotten game even way before the release of v the only thing that saved iv is the mods mainly then the action packed dlc's sneaky rockstar (i know you're going to deny this too........but it's ok)............(but the story it's not forgotten of course) and of course i'm not talking about iv in the forums but in all gaming community.

destiny was made by bunge it's known for halo and they have a large fanbase like gta i think.

and i don't speak english well.

Every new game (note i said game, not expansion) has a new protagonist, why would killing them off mean the end of the franchise? I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing F, M and T again in the next games.

I think R* should go back to how GTA IV was but keep elements from V. Like have one main character, with no girlfriend. Maybe allow the character to pick a house of three or something.
