I actually thought that online PC has been better than console. With the implemented chat system a lot of people will just say "Hi" to you and then you go along with your day. I haven't had one person come up to me and start shooting randomly but hey, we've all been there when a kid comes up with his homing launcher.

What I don't understand is why you're complaining, nothings ever going to change in a game that has guns and the ability to kill every person that you're with.

I remember my first on-line experience, Came out of the clothes store, saw a white dot heading in my direction and like an idiot I just stood there thinking he might be friendly. Oh how wrong I was, Bam. I'm dead, Go speak to Chris, re-spawn. Next time I see some one coming I hop over a fence and climb up a building and stand there gun drawn ready.

Sadly in the criminal underworld, it's kill or be killed... I still try not to get involved in free roam fights, but sometimes I get dragged in. A chain of a couple of missions normally makes up any cash.

I remember when I was first shot in the head by a level 100+ as I came out of the first mission... That one death turned me into a killing machine, went 107 kills before I finally died again.

This game is pretty ruthless.. but there's so much you can do to stay alive if you just use your head. Most new players are like deer getting caught in the headlights. Use that first death as motivation.. not bitching out on forums then quit game after one measly griefer lmao.

Kill or Be Killed.

I strongly advise doing some missions or even robbing a f*cking store if you only had under $800. That's ridiculous. How did you even earn that? Killing peds and then picking up their ~$11. Dude, just do missions/heists, meet some friends in missions that you can free roam with, and gun the f*ck up. Everyone starts low, you gotta work your way through.

Also, there is no level requirement for DLC guns, go kit yourself out after doing some missions or heists. ;>)

Bahahaha! There is so much testerone fueled virtual "badassery" in this thread.

"Git good or git rekt"? Really? How about you form a half decent response to the OP, rather than trying to be cool?

It says something when someone tries discussing something here and in 3+ pages with only a handful of decent responses. Pretty f*cked up people on this forum...

LBC

Oh puh-lease, dude. I've seen your posts. These posts seem like typical responses you would make. Don't act like your sh*t doesn't stink all of a sudden. And I'd say the responses to this thread are definitely warranted. OP is a new player complaining about sh*t that most of the older players have experienced well over a year ago. And this was before the dlc weapons were available right off the bat. New players had no choice but to f*cking deal. All the OP did here was bitch. What decent response does that deserve?

OP, I have officially been killed over a thousand times by other players in this game. You are bitching about four and losing 600 dollars that were "hard earned" on a tutorial mission. Please. As many have told you go on a store robbing spree in invite only and you'll be rich in no time. Learn how to play the game just like everyone else had to. Do missions and then buy the carbine and you'll be all set.

I remember the horrors and thrills of my first day playing GTAO. It was October 1st, 2013.

I was first killed while driving to Los Santos Customs to insure my first car, a Karin Asterope.

Each death (whether caused by a player or accidental) was a minimum of $2000 lost. Even while in PvP game modes!

I had about 100k saved up when I tried the PvP mission "Crooked Cop". I was killed repeatedly, and guess what? Yep, I lost every penny of the 100k

New players benifit from the changes made to the game over the past 2 years. You get a much easier experience now as a new player. Minimal hospital bills, powerful weapons, a working passive mode, improved interaction menu, a map that tells you what people are driving, and how likely they are to kill you.. The list goes on.

In the beginning, every player was a white dot on the map. They could be in a tank or an attack helicopter, or a jet... they could be on a rampage killing everything in sight. You had no idea until you either heard them coming or saw them turning the corner. Tanks were much more powerful back then too. 3 RPGs wouldn't scratch a tank back then.

OP, I can understand your frustration, but what you fail to realize is, those high level players you see now had it MUCH WORSE when they were in your position.

It's funny that you call those days "MUCH WORSE". I know what you're saying, but to me they were the best times. Crooked Cop, for example. Try getting a full lobby for that now. I used to laugh my tits off when I tank rocked up around the corner, spamming shells at me as I failed desperately to escape them.

Don't get me wrong - I love this game, still to this day. I'll never forget the early days though. That was real fun.

I meant "much worse" in the context of OPs complaints. I agree, the early days were freakin epic. Loved almost every minute.

Edit: I post from a mobile device. I don't have the option to italicize text. "MUCH WORSE" would have otherwise been in italics.

Yeah I know what you meant, hence my amusement at the irony. It was me that was unclear - not you.

All this talk is making me miss Unit 124 Popular Street.

GTA Online never was and never going to be a friendly place.

0f6e85def04adac368aef65363116370.jpg

OP, play invite only until you will save enough for Special carbine, marksman rifle, and that easily obtained shotgun. Then save for your first 10-car apartment or garage, it's up to you to decide which will be first. Just don't purchase the most expensive apartments: later you will learn that the cheapest high-tier are the best. Look closely to the Alta street one: still Downtown, separate exits, subway entrance in front of the building to quickly escape cops. If you're under pressure just set GPS to home and get into the tunnel.

Continue to play in invite only until you're ready.

Do not hold up stores: waste of time. Get some buddies, gang up on the forums and do missions constantly for rank and money.

If you're good at racing or DMs you can play forced weapons DMs to rank up and capitalise too. If not, skip that event and gain skill.

Character skills you need to max-out ASAP: strength, stealth, shooting. Driving and flying will come eventually. Lung capacity is nice too.

Rank 120 — max health, rank 135 — max carried armour (10 vests).

Use snacks constantly and buy them at convenient stores (do not rob the stores!).

Forget about grenades, horning missiles and launcher, stickies and any other explosives: it's rich men toys.

Sell Baller or Felon (GT) every 48 minutes, learn how to find and spawn rare pre-modded cars and sell them.

Do not buy supercar at the start of the game, participate in super races to unlock parts for every class with provided cars and learn the differences. Pick your own, get it later. Most of the old times are not driving supers. You will find me cruising in my Tornado/ Super Diamond or redlining my Akuma if I'm in public session. Rank 319 here, still using invite inly very often.

And what is the most important: man up. Ask for help and offer your help. but don't cry. Crybabies are dead in GTA Online. And remember the main rule of K/D: it's pointless and it's don't ask don't tell.

If you hate being attacked by random people and you refuse to use passive or go to an invite only session you're going to absolutely hate GTA Online. GTA Online is kill or be killed, make your choice.

I think you missunderstood, I said why I as noob need to chose? Should not the default be, passive/safe mode under the tuturial.

And if I pick a fight I understand its open season.

But the default for a newly rolled toon, first time ever playing getting ganked 3 min in the game, thats not cool.

First of all I have no problem earning money, it was sarcasm. But as a first time logged in online, and not even been able to chose settings, safe/passive invite only etc, since to have that choice you have to log in GTA V, and chose.

And getting killed 1K times might seem fun to you.

But ganking a player on the 3 first tuturial missions, seem like the guy who does that has been just like you killed over and over, and the only once he can kill is unawere noobs with no armor, no upgrades, and a pistol, against a guy fully upgraded. Its like going down to the kindergarden just because you been bullied by your peers in Highschool, take a basebollbat and whack three kids.

To be honest, with the way the OP is crying, I don't think he deserved a proper answer. He's draws the conclusion that gta online is lame because of one griefer. And if somebody is grieving you in gta online, you don't need a forum to tell you to either switch sessions or use passive mode.

GTA0 is lame because everybody's a f*cking griefer. They learned it from day one, just like the OP has. The message is that GTA0 game design sucks, and it does.

All that potential in a $2B online game, and all the community can make of it is a 24/7 game of whack-a-mole, and it's only gotten worse over 18 months. What a lost opportunity. What a f*ck-up. What a mistake to pander to the bullied, low-esteem dispsh*ts of the world.

Oh, well, at least it keeps these mental miscreants off the real world streets. Hey, maybe this is actually a conspiracy of the new world order -- to collect all the aggressive, mindless fools in a virtual world, and keep them from hurting people in the real world. It's probably working. Rockstar has done a service to humanity by keeping these scum off the streets.

Man this has me remembering just how hard we had it!

$2000 just to die, which happens especially in DM's.

$500 for Passive Mode.

Needing cash ON HAND to use services. As in, oh you just deposited your money but want to go to Passive Mode? Good luck trying to access the bank from your phone while you get spawn killed.

DISAPPEARING CARS!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had dumped $30,000 into my first car, pulled out of LSC and... it disappeared along with my money.

OR

Stealing a perfectly legit SUV from the cops that was storable and customizable. Oh yeah all that money you dumped into that SUV that you had no way of knowing R* didn't want you to have?

GONE!

Remember that one race you really needed to win? You were oh so close and then the game split sessions so suddenly there you were racing all alone and winning nothing.

*****

I've realized the true and awful tragedy in this.

We really need to start a KICKSTARTER campaign and GET THE OP HIS $700 BACK!

It's the right thing to do.

You're going to die a lot in this game. People are giving you advice, sorry for not being nice about it. Yes, I kill people who attack me. It's part of the game. There are plenty of things you can unlock by killing other players, like tatoos and weapon tints. Also, sorry I missed your clear cut sarcasm.

You have options like passive mode. When you get killed and before you respawn there is the option to go into passive mode. Use it, there is no shame if you are low level. Or start a invite only session now that you are out of the tutorial crap. Or uninstall the game, I really don't care. Rockstar did a good job of catering to all sorts of players with this game in actuality and I enjoy all aspects of it.

The game's just not that great kids. It's horribly lacking in longevity, a story, anything compelling besides oft-laggy PVP. PVE was stale a couple months after launch.

I'm sorry for your entirely typical experience. :/

I'm just here for the cars.

So many fanboys with blinders on. Wake up. We all only still play because there's nothing better to play. BF4's crap. Hardline's worse. Et cetera.

Well it was just as I imagine GTA O would be, a Gank party of ppl shooting noobs. WTF...

And everybody who thought PC would be a mature bunch of gamers.

Well its not.

Here is my story, went in to check it out, made my toon, and started the tuturial, on my way up to rank 3 I got killed 4 times of the same dude.

So from my hard earned 795 $ i have now 104 left.

The first shoot down was out side the first drug bust, second time when I do the second mission to buy clothes, so going out of the store he shoot me again, thrird time just spawn outside the hospital.

The funny thing I banked all my money, so I assume is my hospitalcost that deducted money from me.

Will I go back online doubtfull.

So yes the highly upgraded kid won.

Thx rockstar to make this sh*t possible.

Sorry bud :( try candy crush though, nobody will kill you there.
