Dysthymia
The My Documents folder on my main PC is mapped to a shared folder on my server so I can play on my other computers with the ability to easily sync everything up. This is causing GTAV to crash at the point that it is connecting to Social Club. Setting the My Documents location to the usual local folder resolves it but I want it mapped. It's mapped to \\ServerLocalIPAddress\My Documents, with a user account common to both the server and other gaming PCs. The server and my main PC both run Windows 7 Professional. Anyone else have this issue? Is there any other way to go about mapping a folder like this?
Spuds725
It is likely a limitation of the game-- I know this isn't a solution but can't you just setup a file sync between your local folder and the server location? Obviously set it up so the newer file overwrites the older--- I haven't used it in a while but I previously used a program called (PureSync)-- to accomplish backups across multiple PCs to a single PC which was then backed up remotely to carbonite Anyway--- just a thought--- hopefully you can figure it out. Soggo
Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Opened a ticket with Rockstar Support. The only known workaround is to create another account on the same PC and mapping "My documents" to a local folder. Then use that account to play the game. What's weird is that I don't have any trouble with all the other Rockstar games I'm playing. It may be related to the amount of data the launcher has to load at startup.
