Other than other players I very rarely hear a British accent. Think their is some guy on his phone who's a tourist telling his friends he's in Los Santos & a woman driving round who keeps saying she will call the police when I steal her car just before I put a bullet in her for being a grass.

Well, there are too many Americans playing our English game, made in England, by English people, who speak English and used the English language in the game. The game, which is about how America looks to us in England if all the TV shows and movies were from a real place.

 

In all honesty, I don't think all Americans understand satire. Remember the theme tune to 'Team America:World Police'? I know a FOB in Iraq where they played that as bloody Reveille. 6:30 every morning, across the entire base, 'Americaaaaa.....f*ck yeah!'. And they wondered why the locals shot at them.

That's a shame, but they're not all like that, the group of friends I made playing heists together are all lin the US and at least one of them think I have cool accent because I'm British

 

majority are though. I only ever made one american friend online but lots of british/euro people. Mostly other kiwis and aussies though because timezones and all that.

 

Most americans online are actually huge jerk offs. They all tell me to go brush my teeth then when I say Im not british Im a kiwi/ New Zealander 80% dont even know where it is on a map FFS.

Does it matter if he doesn't know the specific country a video game was made in? I didn't know this was important information we should all know. I probably don't know where 90% of the games I play are made because I don't care. Not exactly the type of info I'm looking for when looking into games.

It doesn't drive me nuts, but there are some lines in the game that are worded in such a way that it seems a bit out of place and more British than American even when spoken by an American voice actor.

 

"Don't answer the phone to Lester Crest!"

 

...being one example, there aren't a whole lot, but I have noticed a few here and there.

 

Also, Holy Jesus(!!!) Franklin's alarm clock in his Aunt's house is on 24 hour time... which is very much a European thing.

(Not specifically European of course, but clearly not used in North America that way)
