I'm British but I usually get called a British "faggit" everytime I open my mouth. Mostly from Americans.

That's a shame, but they're not all like that, the group of friends I made playing heists together are all lin the US and at least one of them think I have cool accent because I'm British

 

majority are though. I only ever made one american friend online but lots of british/euro people. Mostly other kiwis and aussies though because timezones and all that.

 

Most americans online are actually huge jerk offs. They all tell me to go brush my teeth then when I say Im not british Im a kiwi/ New Zealander 80% dont even know where it is on a map FFS.

None taken and agreed. As you can see I'm American. Also I have a few Xbox friends that are British, Scottish, etc, I'm fine with their accents. Blame the up bringing, most ignorant people are like that. They mock what the don't understand example different race, culture, etc. Luckily I went to school with all sorts of people (well pre 1995 for me was mostly white people) it wasn't till 1996 I started seeing different races etc in my middle school. Point is, if it wasn't for that huge shift, I'd probably be one of them jerkoffs. Glad I'm not, I hate ignorant people.

Rockstar is an English company. It's holding up a mirror to the entertainment industry in America and reflecting it back as a game, showing what America would be like if it were what the film and tv shows were real.

 

The sense of humor, the culture references, the characters, the what the game is put together is all English.

 

If you want a realistic American game, it's not GTA. Maybe play something different, rather than an English game.

 

Although it's pretty funny to hear you complain. Like saying London is too full of English people, or McDonalds should not have restaurants without American staff.

So true about the sense of humour. Australians and the Kiwis will get it (and dare I say Canadians). We tend to appreciate the British 'dry' sense of humor which is fairly persistent across the entire GTA franchise.

The Asian lady gets me ever time, the one in the van. She says "look at what you did to my van" but of course with an accent. I die each and every time.
