TheDeathRises
Hey, so I finally got around to playing GTA V and my rig should be well able to handle it. I've got an R9 280X OC, FX-6350 and 8GB RAM. I usually get 50-60FPS on a mix of High-Very High settings. However, the game randomly drops down to 15-20FPS for no apparent reason. I've tuned the graphics settings, turned it down, turned it up, tried various fixes I found on the internet. I also updated to the Catalyst Beta drivers for GTA V, but it didn't help much. And it's not like something intensive is happening. I can literally be standing in a quiet field and it will still drop. Is it a problem with my PC? I noticed this sort of problem in DayZ as well, but I figured it was because that game is unoptimized as f*ck, but this shouldn't happen wit GTA V, right? What is this madness? Crimson Flam3s
This is a big issue with me as well, and many others apparently, guess we just gotta wait for more patches and hopefully it will get fixed.

fefenc
This is an issue brought by the 300MB patch that brutally cripples the game performance. I was running the game fine on ultra with MSAA 2x at 40 fps ~ 60 fps, sh*t was smooth, then R* """updated""" the game and now the game was locked to 30 fps in countyside and I was getting 17 fps ~ 24 fps even with vsync turned off. The way I did to increase the fps was lowering the advanced graphic options sliders to 1/3, removing the grass details and the post processing thing, it's looking peasantry right now, but until R* fix this mess or allow us to remove this """update""", this is the only way to make the game playable.
