Connect to the internet without D/L / installing certain updates?

I've just bought Driveclub (which I've had before so my progress should still be there). However, because of the problems with the GTA heists DLC / patches / updates, my PS4 has not been connected to the internet since shortly before the heists DLC arrived.

 

Because of this, I would like to make sure my console's software is up to date and that any updates for Driveclub are installed. But I want to avoid installing all the GTA stuff, 1 because of the file size, and 2 because I'm still not confident it won't ruin my copy of GTA V.

 

Is there any way I can install any console and Driveclub updates, without installing all the GTA updates / patches?
