Game Breaking Bug!?! BLITZ PLAY

On GTA V pc, in the mission Blitz Play, once Franklin has finished the call with Michael after escaping in the get away car,

the game crashes to desktop when transitioning from Frank to Mike.

 

This happens every time I play this mission no matter what changes I'd made to the settings or launch.

Can anyone shine light on this?

Sound this the R* support site, maybe it will help you too. It's not a fix, just a workaround.

I've tried this method 4 times now mate but it crashes to desktop when zooming out instead.

It was seemed so close to working. :[

From what I read about it-- if they are close enough to each other, it should skip the entire zoom out/zoom in.... if it's zooming out still you may be parking in wrong place.

You also need to drive the correct route it sounds like--

Then drive east on the road, you will be close enough to Michael that it will not zoom into the sky, and just skip to him.[/size]

: Got it to work.

 

The positioning after picking up the getaway car is a bit precise, drive too far and you'll leave the instant transfer range.

 

The corner you should be looking to drive to is on the map linked below, right in the crosshair. Following that road down and right/south and east you will find a silo and ramshackle house. This is the hiding spot for the getaway car.

To position yourself to successfully transfer from Franklin to Michael after the phone call, you should park on the hairpin corner above, around the position in the pictures below. Image 1 will be how you will see the corner facing the natural direction, how you drove up. There is a wood guard rail that starts after the corner. Use this as a guide for where to stop. Image 2 is the view behind the position of the parked vehicle.

Hope this helps people along getting past this mission. And hopefully this is the last mission that needs such a specific workaround.

Finally indeed, 6hrs+ trying to get round this.

I heard that Caida Libre (another mission coming up for you) might do this too.... I hope not
