I was wondering what people did in terms of the fun things in GTA Online you did. I have a story.

 

One day, me and my cousin were online. We were in the backcountry over by the Alamo Sea, sitting and watching the cars go by below. Then we saw this NPC in a minivan. He beeped at us, which ruined the moment. I decided to grab the old pump action shotgun and, in the process, turned his face into a Picasso painting. I decided to customize the van, making it the best road trip vehicle. We drove on the Great Ocean Highway, going to my apartment. That was my best moment in GTA Online.

First time I sniped a tank driver. Was always a good laugh.

MOST fun? dunno about most but

 

- off roading with a sanchez

- riding the underground with 4+ friends, putting bounties on each other and killing all who approach

- taking creative pictures

- flying to the highest point and gliding (not parachuting)

- exploring, finding new areas/spots

- going to the alturist camp/trying to stay alive for as long as possible

- good/ competitive gunfights in different areas

- impromptu race (believe it or not)

- playing in woods with friends/invite only (radar off) trying to find each other with flares and gun lights (brightness settings low too)

- stunting on bikes

- stunting on bmx

- climbing up mount chilliad

- generally playing with friends

- capture the rings with lazers

- large lobby races

- cargobob a boat up a mountain and let your friend slide down

- actually playing different jobs/ game modes you haven't tried before (surprisingly fun)

A particular race: Jumpin' Jack Flash II, 16 players, 14 laps (40 second laps), in muscle cars. So much fun, so much chaos. Can easily go from First to Last and back to First again on that track.

My first foray into online was at the end of last year, yeah I'm a noob. Anyway, was on with a mate, both low level and nervy. He suggested we nick a chopper, so did that, landed on top of biggest building and got parachutes. He suggested jumping off and going to the strip club. I said let's take the chopper instead, so we parachuted to the strippers. Went in and had a dance til we'd got numbers. Decide to go back to apartment and call her over. (we'd both got 500k starter cash for buying game as bundl). On the way home decided we needed to be better dressed, need to impress the ladies, so called into ponsonbys for suits. Finally got home, did the whole drugs and drinks and lap dances thing.

 

I'm a pretty old fella, over 40, and this kind of freedom to do stuff is something that blew me away. Never really played huge online games before. Proper hooked me in.

 

Another fun moment, during the festive season, got onto a team game where we had to pick up bags in a ravine. At one point father Christmas was driving towards me firing a machine gun and I managed to shotgun him off his bike. Totally surreal.

I trolled a group of griefers (5), out of a session. They were harassing people in the Gunsurgent and I took that out, killed the 1 guy in the car - got my tank and killed them repeatedly until they admitted defeat and went passive.

I then got a pal into the mix and destroyed them with the Gunsurgent, They left in the end, I got message hate but I lolled them off

apart from the Billionaires Era which still like the peak in fun of this game, other fun moment was around september? 2014, there was the garage godmode glitch, i did the glitch and when on to do stupid stuff like jumping from the top of the world, crashing my plane against building and stuff like that.

 

anyway there was this session where everyone was in godmode, since no one can get killed, we decided to play together, we had a car meet, tank battle, parachuting, we had a huge buzzard war, pretty much the most fun one could have without killing each other.

 

 

I trolled a group of griefers (5), out of a session. They were harassing people in the Gunsurgent and I took that out, killed the 1 guy in the car - got my tank and killed them repeatedly until they admitted defeat and went passive.

I then got a pal into the mix and destroyed them with the Gunsurgent, They left in the end, I got message hate but I lolled them off

 

sound cool and all but its hard to believe, even more with the current state of the tank. if this story was set months ago, i would believe it, but being a recent story its extra hard to believe.

It was a long time ago. I do break out the tank when people are griefing, or I'm bored and I'll get a few kills before I suicide

 

I've not been killed in it since it was nerfed, because I'm accurate with the turret and people suck with the RPG. The homing launcher gets a shot off - I'm around a corner/down the street

 

R* may have nerfed the tank v players, but its still a damn fine killing machine, if you use it right

Out if the blue I knocked over a 24/7. Got a message: daily objective completed. Heck? Checked the daily objective list: Participate in a versus mission and visit a cinema. Ok, I can do that. Joined on call Crooked Cop and prepared to get slaughtered. The opponent turned out to be a noobyshoot. Hell, let's go win this. Creamed his ass, got in a metro tunnel, shook the cops, delivered the documents. Got a cinema and ate some popcorn.

 

Got 30 k$. The prison break finale paid only 60 k$ after one hour frustration with some idiots. So easy money.

I never thought trolling would be fun, however. With the advent of heists I am now loving it. Some greedy prick thinks 15% is a fair cut while they take 55% for themselves. I'll play it straight to the end and somehow die in the last 5% of the job. 90% of the time that gets us a restart. It depends on the job I'm given but I've yet to run out of ways to derail the mission. Some of the heist failure threads on here are great for ideas. Hell 1 time we did a restart after I messaged everyone "ALLAH AKBAR" and lawn darted the plane just short of the finish of PB. Then I stole an idea from the forums and walked into the tail rotor of the buzzard on the next play through. Now my friends and I who never were trolls in the past are on payout patrol. Pay a fair cut and we'll finish your heist. Be a greedy douche and we'll troll you as long as you'll restart.

 

Low payouts = melee weapons only can't afford ammo, I'll have to drive my Ratloader because I cant afford to fuel my Zentorno, I might not be able to use my gps so I might wander around aimlessly for awhile before finding the mission goal. I may have to only use 1 hand to fly, drive, walk, aim etc.

 

Fair pay = Mission played to 100% of my ability with all my best resources.

 

15% in never fair. 20 for an easy job without too much ammo expense, may still revert to pistol on harder jobs. 25% on harder jobs that require ammo.

 

host cut never more than 40% except Fleeca job. If you take 40% you take the harder jobs. otherwise you need to be 35% or less.

 

Also if you don't set the mission to HARD for the higher payout, then you need to pay 25% across the board so everyone makes some money. Heists are all about people making money. No I don't need the money, any more than you need the money. I've got a few million. I won't work for free. I earned my money and I'll help you earn yours. If you don't wanna pay I still have time to help prevent you from getting any money. Troll hosts get Trolled.
