Is the marksman rifle ruining free aim?

Joined a free aim lobby and it seems the only weapon players use is the marksman rifle. Personally, I think it's for players who aren't good at sniping and helps unskilled players level the playing field.

it holds 8 rounds

and 16 rounds extended (in a 30 round AK mag)

 

Its fine. Most Real DMRs hover around 15-30 anyway

How does this weapon take any less skill than the sniper? Sniper-aim shoot easy. marksman you must move shoot aim all at same time. I can say the same about snipers having no skill then lol

It takes less skill because it has a much better fire rate than the other snipers, it has more ammo in a clip, even more so with extended clip, and it does quite a bit of damage. It's pretty hard to hit someone constantly strafing and near spraying you with bullets while you're using the heavy sniper which has a lower fire rate. It also has ridiculous range

It takes less skill because it has a much better fire rate than the other snipers, it has more ammo in a clip, even more so with extended clip, and it does quite a bit of damage. It's pretty hard to hit someone constantly strafing and near spraying you with bullets while you're using the heavy sniper which has a lower fire rate. It also has ridiculous range

 

Fair enough but I think the marksman must be at a certain range to be effective. Too close you can be killed by a rifle or minigun-too far your gonna get hit with a sniper shot. I can see how it could be op but only at the correct range. A good player should be able to fall out of this range or atleast match marksman to marksman. Especially now that spawn points have changed making it harder to spawn kill you will usually spawn out of range of the marksman giving the sniper the advantage.

You know they cant SHOOT you with a Sniper if you don`t give them easy line of sight, move in close OR move fast enough. So i have no clue what you`re bitching about. the Marksmen is the least of my worries in FA and i play everyday in FA.

 

If you think its sooo easy to use. Id like to see you shoot me with one, while i attack you via a street bike. Should be simple to kill me if the gun is so easy to use.

in auto aim.....when you are out of aim distance I do it like this

 

closest = mini gun

medium = marksman

furthest = heavy sniper

 

its about positioning and strategy

that applies to free aim as well

You can goof around, but only if you understand you ARE goofing around and not using everything given to you to the best of its abilities. Just like Counter Strike AK and M4 + AWP are king, or BF4 the new gun, FAMAS and otherwise the ONLY 2 guns that made sense, Scar-H and Ace 52 CQB, or Ace 23 as a 3rd so in here some weapons will be better than others. It`s not a question of fair or unfair, it`s a question of why aren`t you using it since yesterday.

The problem is the map. I always respawn within its range, and getting up close, unless you use a car makes you vulnerable to their sniper fire. If you don't want it to turn into a sniper war, join a dm.

The rate of fire helps compensate for it's sh*tty damage, hell look at the minigun the damage on that thing sucks but the rate of fire is what gives it that instant kill feature, the same applies to the marksmen rifle.
