Orphan Carpet Posted April 19, 2015 Share Posted April 19, 2015 It is abundantly clear what you and I have purchased is not truly the most definitive version of Grand Theft Auto V to date and we have been lied to all these many long months. You ask why? Xbox has something we don’t. It doesn’t support the eighth generation console controllers extra features! Instead it merely thinks my superior Xbone controller is an old 360 remote. That means NO IMPULSE TRIGGERS. If you truly want the most DEFFINITIVE edition of Grand Theft Auto you will need those trigger features. But honestly jokes aside having read the forums quite a bit it seems as though there is a ton of people who are using the Xbox One controller and we are not even getting our money’s worth out of them. Far Cry 4 for example had support for Xbox One controllers and it was rad I finally thought large AAA games would start using what’s around and pre-launch day for GTA I always thought of the game as being an extremely polished gem so naturally I assumed that they would utilise all available hardware but unfortunately I was wrong. I am writing this in hope I am not the only one sharing these thoughts and a patch in for Xbox One controller support and even PS4 touchpad would honestly make this game just that little bit better, when I think of GTA I think of all the nice little touches they have added, I for one think this suggestion could be one of those nice little touches. I shouldn’t have to pick between good performance and up to date functionality. This is a game that made over 800 million dollars on its launch day sorry if I expect more. I am merely spreading awareness so that Rockstar sees this sooner rather than later after i have finished the game, you feel me? Thanks for the reply but for my conscience id just like to state i feel as though i am not "moaning" not to mention how patient we had to be for solely the game. Just look how great it runs on my PC! 20-30fps with constant stuttering and LODs and void everywhere at lowest possible settings, it's greater than I could've ever imagined. In Fallout New Vegas I turned grass settings right off, I wanted to see landmines and hidden weapons on the ground, that the grass used to hide. Sorry but i am having a hard time not looking at you as an ignorant human being basing your opinions from a bias point of view for only owning a 360 remote. Please explain to me how you think that it is better? Because the way i see it is that the Xbone Controller is just an improvement in all aspects to the 360 remote and provides are far superior gaming experience. Like youre taking away the best thing about PC gaming and thats KBnM Honestly there is TONS of reasons, for me personally whenever i am emulating other games like PS2 and under in console generations i always prefer to use controller, not to mention fighting games, racing games and a ton of random puzzle games that are just best suited for a controller for example Super Meat Boy now try to beat me at that with a KB+M and i could almost guarantee you would fail. The real best thing about PC is the choice of mouse and keyboard or controller not just KB+M alone. Being able to start up csgo with that majestic mouse and then directly after firing up MKX with your brand spanking new eighth generation console controller and kicking some ass. Now that is the beauty of PC and i think it would only be a shame for Rockstar to not consider supporting the latest technology in gamepads. External1989 Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 If you play the full game with controller , you're going to have a sh*t time , you are dead before you could even aim on me , but racing in this game i prefer a controller aswell , its just easier . so i'm switching between both of them but the moment i know i need to shoot even if i'm in my car i'm laying down my controller and take the KBnM . For serious driving, races and piloting, yes I use a controller. But for everything else, including mucking around and shooting while driving, you cannot beat keyboard and mouse....
