Grand Theft Auto V Crash: ERR_FIL_PACK_3

Well, when I try to launch the story mode, i get this error.

 

ERR_FIL_PACK_3

 

Please reboot or reinstall the game.

 

 

I have tried reinstalling it except the mandatory DLC files (Physical Edition) because they took so long to download I just copied and pasted it from the old install.

(Note: I had the same error on my old install)

I tried repairing it via the setup tool too.

 

My concerns are that it's the DLC files, and can anyone provide help please?

Hey guys.

 

A friend of mine had the same problem and his error was that his dlc file was corrupt and he had to redownload the dlc files, in our case i sent him mine which didn't take as long as downloading it on the release day.

 

So try delete the dlc files and redownload them and let me know if it worked.

As i said if everyone here read my post, the only solution me and my friend was to download the dlc files again, optinal. The whole game, if one file is corrupt it might be more files that's corrupt aswell.

 

My friend who had that problem as above also experienced some random crashes and other strange stuff going on, and he got pissed at the end, reinstalled the game, or he downloaded the game through a torrent, copied all the files over to the actual installation directory after deleting all the original files (since they are the same files just through a torrent) and then he started the rockstar launcher and the update began to install, after that everything works perfectly.

 

The problems he encountered before: Using a handgun or smg in a car = crash, random crashes after or on a job, cars not showing names when getting into a car, no subtitles showing for some parts of the game, and no ingame texts where it should be and some more problems i don't remember.

And some strange fps issues aswell.

 

All sorted out after Reinstalling/copy over files from another install of gta 5.
