Best Way to Make Money in GTA Online?

What do you guys think is the quickest way to make the most money possible at this point in GTA Online. I'm leaning towards heists, but there are necessary set ups and for each one and not all heists are equal (if it is heists, which one do you think is most profitable?). If it isn't heists, what other way of gaining money should I pursue?

Sell cars, do FR quick jobs, rob stores, do missions, take your chances with heists but 15 minutes wasted on a heist/setup with tards could easily net you 20k+ in any # of missions solo, so take your chances.

What system are you on? I think any random mission works for me, just set a 4 minute timer so when it's up turn in/complete the objective. 4 minutes in = 100% payout.

Depends if you are willing to grind for money. If you are, find a mission you really like, make a x16 playlist and go to town. I personally can only do this for a short time before I get bored out of my mind.

Heists are only an ok money maker if you have a reliable group. With randoms you will make MUCH less money than doing almost anything else.

I suggest a nice mix of contact missions, races, deathmatches and the occasional heist. No boredom, easy money.

1. Do random Heists, sell a car or rob a store while waiting for the invite to the next setup/Finale

2. Grind missions

3. Do Free Roam events

4. Bounty hunting(Though some people are pussies and teleport home via Heist invite, change sessions, etc when you almost kill them)

Don't spam explosives and avoid destroying PVs.

Four minutes isn't the max payout. I've never really paid attention to the time it takes to do missions but the max payout is somewhere in the ten to fifteen minute range.

I think you are confusing races for missions.

Several was of doing it.

The easiest is to glitch money when it comes up.

The other way is grind missions and heist, be on a budget and less free roam battles. Use less explosives, kill in self defense or walk away. Made 3 million doing this in a week.

Host the pacific standard heist with a 65% cut

wait...wait...

basically spend a lot of time waiting for people to join

wait..wait..

basically spend a lot of time waiting for people willing to work for a low percentage

wait....wait...

basically spend a lot of time waiting for people who don't keep dying

wait...wait....

basically realize you just spent a whole f*cking day making no money when you could have done some missions

The best way to make money is to play the game instead of making redundant threads with no real answer.

You're welcome.

Sir Michael

Almost everything you do in this game gives you money... except killing people in free mode and blowing up their cars.

It feels like these kind of threads pop up every week.

The best way to make money is not to spent it frivolously. Some kiddie friends buy a Casco, mod it to the max, put on a lot of different colours, get bored and sell it. Then they buy a Burrito, max mod it, get bored, sell it. Then they buy a Lectro...

Each cycle you loose 60% of your investment.

Buy a Buzzard or Savage and grind Cristal Clear Out 3 playlist. Or do Trash Talk. Sell a Felon GT every game day.

Heists are far more slower. 95% of the players seem to be border line retards. I am hoping that those idiots lose interest some day.

You can try heist finale hopping, but chances are big crews demand 20% and the host quits or you meet a greedy host. I am level 350. One heist the host favoured his monkey friends 30% and left me with 0%. For a second I thought of failing on purpose near the end, but nah. I just left.

The trouble is that more people got that idea of finale hopping. Nobody does setups. So good luck with that.

best way of making money?

dupin car glitch obviously hahaha

now on a serious note, while stuff in the game still overpriced as f*ck, R* have made possible to earn more money easily.

you can do heist, fleeca bank is really short, grindable and can be done in like 35minutes if you and the partner know what your doing. thats an easy 50k+

you can do LTS, 90% of the time you would get thrown into Sniper vs Stunters which is a stupid lts but the money is good. yesterday i when through 4 rounds, came out with 29k in just 20minutes.

you can always buy a cashcard.

at the end of the day, if you want to have money, you have to spend it wisely, and stay away from freeroam.

yes freeroam is where the real gtao is at but, its a money drainer.

this comes from a person that spend 99% of it time in freeroam and burn through atleast 200k per session.

Nope... it goes up to 200% payout, so, you can make it last longer, but I've found doing it basic missions with a 4 minute timer is a decent pay/ time to work with. It could go higher than 200% but not sure. Had a time table with the % somewhere but it's not too big of a deal.

When I'm playing with a couple friends we can make decent coin and not take forever doing missions.

Kid with rich parents problems** If you were that rich yourself, you'd almost certainly rather invest 2k into somthing with returns... That's why rich people are rich, because they don't do dumb sh*t like one way exchanges between real currency and fake virtual currency. That or you're straight chatting sh*te?

i Have been around since Day 1

So if you are looking to get rich quick and be legit...its not gonna happen

But here is are a few tips

  1. when you sign in look at your daily objectives, doing these 3 little items will add 25k to your wallet plus any money earned from them, you can then switch to your second character and do 3 more under that character doubling your money to 50k plus any money earned while doing them
  2. know which cars sell for the most money at LSC, and be ready to sell ..i keep some garage slots open for NPC modded vehicles (PS4) but even Ballers will bring you 9k a pop and they spawn regularly
  3. Play the contract missions, if i have no friends online, i just select join contract mission from the phone and join a lobby, on the ps4 normally i land in a lobby of players which increases the payout vs doing it solo.....Yes there are times you will run into players who are trolling...but for the most part since heist was released they players i encounter on Missions are either playing to win or playing to learn, either way you will be ok
  4. If you have a few friends make a friends only lobby, you dont have to worry about killers and so on, if you transport a car to simeon, and you still get the free roam activites to show up and some of them pay pretty good
  5. TDMs DMs and other modes that can be created by other players are normally a crap designed to sucker players in so one or two can win big while the rest suffer through it.....Rockstar created stuff does payout out good and is layed out fairly, but you will have to learn where the items area
  6. Races on the PS4 seem to pay out a lot less than on the ps3 ....you will not make a lot of money racing unless you have full lobbies and finish at least in 3rd place
  7. Heist are fun and a good way to make money IF you have a circle of friends to do them with, but Heist can be a pain if you dont have a circle of friends and cause you to play longer and earn less

Just keep one thing in mind Things cost a lot in LS and every area of the game is designed for you to spend it faster than you can make it (just like the real world)

if you are just starting out pick 1 good weapon from each class and forgot all the others for a while anyway.....as you rank up and your skills increase the amount of ammo you can carry starts increasing pretty quick and this will cause to to spend all you made on the job as you refill, but this will cap off after a while......

Pick a Property and save for that property, just because you can own 4 dosent mean you need to go and buy 4 at once, buy them as you need them, If cars are your thing pick the cars you want ..then steal them off the street if they are steal-able cars, if not save your money and buy them one at a time, My way of doing it is buy one earn enough to mod it up fully and then start on the next one

BUT in the end the easiest way to make money is to have fun while you are playing, Yes you can farm missions ect, but after a couple of times in a row, the game starts getting boring and starts to feel like a real life grind.....do a variety of things, this will keep you laughing and enjoying the game and in the long run you will make more without game burnout

Nice necrobump. Well, halloween is upon us, so there are more things brought back from the dead than posts.

The topic is more valid than ever, since a lot of people seem to be pennyless since the lowrider DLC dropped.

Some new things:

- I do not know if it is a recent change. I noticed that daily objectives are again per character. Potentially you can earn 2x 25k a day by switching to your other character. I have yet to investigate if you can sell 2 cars each gameday with two characters.

- Fourth property, splendid. Do not fill them up with lowriders, but with sellable NPC cars. Rake in the profits.

- If you do have a lowrider, drive around Forum drive -> Grove street -> Vagos barrio and back. A gangbanger Buccaneer, Peyote or Tornado will most likely spawn. You can sell them or use it as base for Benny's. Since a gangbanger car is pre-modded, you save some money. I picked up two gang Buccaneers this way.

- Lamar missions. Most of the Lamar missions pay crap. I think it was Desperate times, where you have to do a series off drive by shootings with a Moonbeam, paid 27k gta$. The drawback is that you have to wait for it to pass by and you need 4 people.

Trolling and sarcasm is a thing buddy If its sarcasm its not very good sarcasm, the hashtag pretty much decontextualises it... And if its trolling then he is infact talking sh*te. Non?
