I have absolute no problems at with gta 5 , i only had a ''gta 5 stopper working'' once and i have very high settings with a constant 65 fps.

The only thing i have , but i think everyone has , is driving fast the fps drops to 55-60.

Nope, you're not the only one. I'm playing with a god damned HD6870 and I'm getting 30-50 FPS, average around 35-40, without any hiccups whatsoever, even when driving really fast through Los Santos. Well it drops but drops the same thing it did with the non-patched version and it's NEVER below 30 FPS, I've never seen this game below 30 FPS.

Same here, running smooth as butter, no crashes, no fps drops, just fun!

Buttery smooth for me. Running a 4770K and a HD7970 and I get about 80-90FPS in the city and 70+FPS everywhere else. I even ran an EyeFinity test earlier at 5670x1080 and it rarely dipped below 30FPS on high/very high settings.

Welcome to the "Running GTA V PC Perfectly" Club. 4790K, GTX 970, 16GB RAM, 1080p. Running between 40-70+fps. Only rarely does it dip to the 30s. Almost every setting is maxed out.

Works great for me now, took me a couple of days to find the best combination. I didnt realise for a whole day that the Distance Scaling ate away at my FPS and couldnt understand what was causing it. I've got a 4770k but I think my GTX560 is bottlenecking it a bit. I'm running settings that apparently use 2500mb of VRAM when mine only has 1gb xD Wasn't very accurate on IV either. Most things on high and textures on v.high and getting between 31-41 average, occasional drops but nothing major.

I'd say this has made up for that arse of a port that was IV.

If you run at rock solid 60fps and then after the patch you don't there is a problem for some. Some of you are running between very low fps of 30-40 to 50...your probably not going to notice a drop to be fair.

nope. Getting constant 60fps with no crashes on my 280x. Online is working good too.

Yeah, my framerate is still the same (locked at 60fps vsync), very high settings no msaa, both before and after the patch.

I've had no issues, both before and after the patch. Still running 55-60fps with most settings on Very High.

I did have one crash, but it was due to the game reacting oddly when another window unexpectedly opened and stole focus. It wasn't a random, out-of-the-blue crash and hasn't happened again since.

Nothing special to report here either.

Slow ass start dl the day0 patches when the clock struck midnight, took about an hr and half to get going, I was staring at dial-up speeds (understandable, I guess). Thats it! Game just works and Ive been notching up settings (extended draw scale, post fx to ultra) and being surprised just how well its handling them.

Near maxed out (MSAAx2), it stays 2/3's of the time between 55-60 (@1600p), it'll plop to 30 sometimes, but its never below it and it never stutters etc. [email protected], 780ti, 8GB ram

Have only played a couple of hrs @2160p (TV), can keep my settings the same and lock fps to 30 (havent tried with the extended draw or post fx set to ultra yet).

I only have one problem with the game. I don't have enough time to play it.

You are not alone. I am having such a good f*cking time. lol.

I'm trying to help others as best I can though, cause it is a solid launch, we gotta find the common thread for whatever is causing the issues we're seeing crop up imo. Then we can find solutions for people.

I'm running 40 to 60 mainly 60fps on very high (no ultra grass), and have come to much prefer max motion blur, half vsync for 30 fps and ultra grass and I prefer it A Lot for visuals, and it has doubled the time I have for each frame, so I am able to push 1080p to its utter max before I get to diminishing visual returns, so I am blown the f*ck away to the point where it feels almost weird that I'm playing a gta game on the day of release and I can do 60fps and actually prefer 30 for the added levels of msaa and shadows I can apply due to the time I've unlocked with it.

Blown away. SA was hard to run on first gen pixel shader 2.0 cards which I had back then, IV was reasonable for me from day 1, but I understood the problems others are having and I had to be conservative with some settings in that, but this is another world. It's great.

I could stand to see some perhaps post-launch optimization, but I highly appreciate this release thus far.

Literally. It's like:

at the same time.

People were making some of the faces I've made since the PC launch in the Michael Jackson video audience. No sh*t.

Try driving fast down Vinewood Blvd, you'll see it drop into the 40's.

I'm mostly stable on my GTX 970, but it's still underperforming compared to others.

Stable fps between 75-90. Never under 60.

Erm, a 15fps fluctuation isn't stable, stable is more a locked fps neither dropping or going above. ;)

HD 6870? that's a good card for only 1gb of vram. i used that until today- I finally got my r9 290x

Same specs here as well. I get 60 FPS on 1080 nearly all Max Settings excluding MSAA and Grass Quality set to Very High instead of Ultra. I occasionally hit 50-55 occasionally through heavily grassy areas, but other than that, perfect 60s. :) I also never had any issues on day 1 with starting the game up. I think I may have been one of the first ones onto the PC version because I have an SSD as well.

I had 0 issues with the game since release. Not one crash, just a glitch where I had a permanent wanted level. xD

I've had a great experience so far, despite the fact I'm playing it on an inferior system. I played for 6 hours last night with no issues.

Asus P5K premium mobo

4GB DDR 2 8500 ram (unable to use ddr3 on the mobo)

Q6600 Quad Core overclocked to 3.25 GHz

GTX 560 ti 1 GB overclocked to 900mhz

Window 7 64 bit

1680 x 1050 (native for monitor)

So many here without any problem/s , So why others so many have so much problems ? Is that only have to do with the pc system we all have ? So much differents ?

I have gtx 770 2gb and 6gb ram with windows 8.1 pro and i can't play it smooth i tried to set the graphics ot as much as low settings as i can even the resolution i moved down some levels and still too many stutters and texture is buggy on high speed driving.

So i need to bug a new high end pc ? Not logic.

What I'm wondering is whether those people without problems bought the Steam version or the retail/Social Club version. I have a feeling Social Clubs brings more problems than Steam version.

The game itself runs fine for me, but Social Club causes my game to crash fairly often.
