I am actually interested in the GTA 4 variant of the Super GT. It's one thing I missed back in September 2013 when I played it for the first time.

There's a pretty big chance they might pull a Turismo again and turn the Super GT into a hypercar, in which case it'll probably based on the Aston Martin Vulcan.

Its sad that ppl remember the Super GT as the aston-looking p.o.s that was present in GTA IV. Super GT was originally the Mitsubishi 3000GT in GTA:SA. We already have the f620. A DB9 would be cool and all but 3000GT would be a better addition.

I can´t wait for Tampa and I´m also thinking about getting Super GT and Feroci,if they will be the same as they were in GTA 4.I´m glad they are bringing back vehicles from GTA 4 and EFLC (Rhapsody,Innovation,Hakuchou,Dukes,Stallion,Blista Compact,Slamvan...),I just wish they would bring them back faster,maybe in one huge DLC.

The new Super GT should be a 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. This game is really lacking in JDM's, LA has a big import scene IRL so why can't LS?

 

 

 

 

 

The Tampa should be either a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 or a 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1. We have a 69 Charger lookalike, a C3 Corvette, a 1st gen Camaro and a 442 Hurst lookalike the only thing we're missing is a classic Mustang. However I would prefer if they Tampa was changed to resemble a 1967 GT500 I would still prefer these 2.

The Barbarian should be a Rally Fighter. Right now the only amazing offroaders we have are the Rebel, Sandking, Bifta and (if you want to count bikes) the Sanchez we need something that is lifted, light and powerful.

I think the Super GT maybe a sports car. The F620 replaced the vehicle in BOGT but the F620 is now classified as a coupe. Same may apply to the Super GT. I hope that its not a super though.

Yeah the Gauntlet is technically based halfway off a Camaro, but it's more Challenger to me. We need a more clear Camaro. I'd prefer a more classic muscle car though, like a Mustang.

If the Tampa is actually added it'll be great, the rest of the vehicles names are interesting too.

 

Are these files new or are they just left over stuff from the beta and such?

I don't understand what you're trying to say.I understand the first half of your second sentence: Corvette is to Chevrolet what Viper is to Dodge. The Corvette and Viper are car models, and Chevrolet and dodge are, respectively, the brands that make them.I'm not aware of anyone who sees either Corvette or Viper as a separate brand. They are both iconic, sure, but I think everyone understands they're models, not brands.But your first sentence is what really confuses me. You say that Invetero is what Corvette is in real life. What? Invetero is the brand, like Chevrlet, or Dodge, or Vapid, or Albany. Coquette is the model, like Corvette, or Viper, or Banshee.The Coquette is a model from the Invetero brand. Invetero only has the Coquette and Coquette Classic. As both are clearly inspired by the Corvette, it seems that Invetero is another GTA version of Chevrolet. Why did Rockstar make a second Chevrolet-inspired brand just for the Coquette, instead of just making the Coquettes come from Chevalier? I can't say, other than to attribute it to the fabled Rockstar logic.

 

I kinda understand his logic with Inventero. The examples being used are Viper and Corvette. When GTAV was in production, the trademark for the Viper was still owned by Chrysler, the parent company of Dodge, who made the Viper. The Viper has only been around for about 25 years or so (first one was 1990 or 1992 I forget exactly, but I could also be wrong on that fact). It wasn't until very late into the development of GTAV (early 2013 if I remember correctly) that the Viper trademark was sold to Street and Racing Technology, also known as SRT, the performance company for Dodge. They then began to produce the Viper again in late 2013, but by then the Banshee was already developed in GTAV, which could be why R* left it under Bravado (Dodge).

Another more simplified reason is that the Banshee is a classic vehicle of the GTA series, and has always been a Bravado, so they left it under that brand for nostalgic reasons.

The Corvette, on the other hand, has a massive history, dating back to the early 1950s, which includes generations of styling changes, variants, and even competitive history. Despite being a vehicle made by Chevrolet, the Corvette is widely classified as its own brand, in essence becoming a company under Chevrolet, even though it isn't an official title by law. It has its own famous logo (crossed checkered flags), and has had that throughout its history. This seems to justify the logic of R* classifying it under its own brand name.

The trademark for the Viper has always been owned by Chrysler, in its various forms over the two and a half decades of the Viper's existence. Regardless of whatever the brand on the car was, the point is there's always been a brand--the Viper has never been its own brand.

And neither has Corvette. I'm aware of nobody in my real life who has ever considered the Corvette to be its own brand. It has its own logo? So does the Viper. So do some other cars. In any event, what I still don't understand is the statement, "Invetero is what Corvette is IRL." In the game, Invetero is a brand. If Invetero is the same kind of thing as the Corvette, a car...then what is the Coquette? Is he saying that both the car and its brand are the car? I just don't understand that statement at all.

 

You missed half of my point. The Viper doesn't have the history the Corvette does. Car enthusiasts (and the general public) see the Corvette as something entirely on its own, whereas the Viper is always seen under a subsidy, be it SRT, Dodge, or whatever it may be. You never see a Viper advertised as a Viper, you see it as a Dodge Viper, or SRT Viper. When's the last time you heard Chevy Corvette? Even ads nowadays just say "2014 Corvette" or "2015 Corvette", as if it belongs by itself.I don't believe anybody sees the Corvette as "something entirely on its own".

 

People may see a Corvette and think "Corvette", not "Chevy Corvette". Ok, sure, I'll give you that. But I do the same thing with probably all cars, and I bet I'm not alone.

 

But I'm very sure that if you were to ask most people, they'd be able to tell you that Corvette is a Chevrolet car, the same as the Camaro or Silverado. They'd be able to tell you the Viper is a Dodge, just like a Charger or Challenger.

 

So with the Corvette, people may not immediately think of Chevy...but I don't think that's unusual. I don't immediately think of Buick when I see a Lacrosse, or of Honda when I see an Accord. But the way it comes to mind, and what people know it is, can be two very different things.

It does get some inspiration out of the modern Camaro, but it's mostly based on a Dodge Challenger. I'd personally love a "real" Camaro.

Holy heck am I excited for this! I've been waiting for the day that the Feroci makes a return in GTA V. The Intruder just isn't the same in my eyes. I used to love doing Brucie's street races with the JDM VIP variant of the Feroci done in black-on-black. Good times.

Welp, time to begin the grind again, because $1.1 million ain't gonna buy sh*t in this pack.

 

Also, I really hope the Barbarian is like a successor to the Dune.
