I don't understand what you're trying to say.I understand the first half of your second sentence: Corvette is to Chevrolet what Viper is to Dodge. The Corvette and Viper are car models, and Chevrolet and dodge are, respectively, the brands that make them.I'm not aware of anyone who sees either Corvette or Viper as a separate brand. They are both iconic, sure, but I think everyone understands they're models, not brands. But your first sentence is what really confuses me. You say that Invetero is what Corvette is in real life. What? Invetero is the brand, like Chevrlet, or Dodge, or Vapid, or Albany. Coquette is the model, like Corvette, or Viper, or Banshee. The Coquette is a model from the Invetero brand. Invetero only has the Coquette and Coquette Classic. As both are clearly inspired by the Corvette, it seems that Invetero is another GTA version of Chevrolet. Why did Rockstar make a second Chevrolet-inspired brand just for the Coquette, instead of just making the Coquettes come from Chevalier? I can't say, other than to attribute it to the fabled Rockstar logic.

I kinda understand his logic with Inventero. The examples being used are Viper and Corvette. When GTAV was in production, the trademark for the Viper was still owned by Chrysler, the parent company of Dodge, who made the Viper. The Viper has only been around for about 25 years or so (first one was 1990 or 1992 I forget exactly, but I could also be wrong on that fact). It wasn't until very late into the development of GTAV (early 2013 if I remember correctly) that the Viper trademark was sold to Street and Racing Technology, also known as SRT, the performance company for Dodge. They then began to produce the Viper again in late 2013, but by then the Banshee was already developed in GTAV, which could be why R* left it under Bravado (Dodge).

Another more simplified reason is that the Banshee is a classic vehicle of the GTA series, and has always been a Bravado, so they left it under that brand for nostalgic reasons.

The Corvette, on the other hand, has a massive history, dating back to the early 1950s, which includes generations of styling changes, variants, and even competitive history. Despite being a vehicle made by Chevrolet, the Corvette is widely classified as its own brand, in essence becoming a company under Chevrolet, even though it isn't an official title by law. It has its own famous logo (crossed checkered flags), and has had that throughout its history. This seems to justify the logic of R* classifying it under its own brand name.

The trademark for the Viper has always been owned by Chrysler, in its various forms over the two and a half decades of the Viper's existence. Regardless of whatever the brand on the car was, the point is there's always been a brand--the Viper has never been its own brand.

And neither has Corvette. I'm aware of nobody in my real life who has ever considered the Corvette to be its own brand. It has its own logo? So does the Viper. So do some other cars. In any event, what I still don't understand is the statement, "Invetero is what Corvette is IRL." In the game, Invetero is a brand. If Invetero is the same kind of thing as the Corvette, a car...then what is the Coquette? Is he saying that both the car and its brand are the car? I just don't understand that statement at all.

You missed half of my point. The Viper doesn't have the history the Corvette does. Car enthusiasts (and the general public) see the Corvette as something entirely on its own, whereas the Viper is always seen under a subsidy, be it SRT, Dodge, or whatever it may be. You never see a Viper advertised as a Viper, you see it as a Dodge Viper, or SRT Viper. When's the last time you heard Chevy Corvette? Even ads nowadays just say "2014 Corvette" or "2015 Corvette", as if it belongs by itself.

Still would be sick as hell if it was an ICBM truck, like in GTAL69.

This is great news!

Hypeddddd the Tampa is the greatest gta muscle car
hope it's a remake of the gta San Andreas one
not the ballad of gay tony one

I agree... both versions are fine, but I do like the SA Corvair-style Tampa more than the BOGT Dodge Dart-ish one.

But either way, I'm happy.

Judging by what they did with the Regina, Rhapsody, Slamvan, etc. I assume it'll just be the BOGT version with possibly a very slight facelift (like the Regina), but even more likely just a direct port (Rhapsody)...

I wish there is a no-vinyl top on the Tampa. Hated the vinyl on that beast of a car.

Dat SuperGT speedo and tach doe...looks like we will be getting a 'super' muscle car...possibly Ford's new GT.

*edit: yes I kno pic is of a '14 prototype but I like this better than what they went with.

LBC

OMG LORD PLEASE ILL NEVER BASH R* AGAIN!!!

I agree with you as well

you do realize lbc that super gt isn't related to the bullet? It's not even a vapid.

Doesn't really matter. There are other cars not affiliated with the "right brand", the Coquette is obviously a Corvette knock-off and it is Invetero and not Cheval.

LBC

Invetero is what Corvette is IRL. Corvette is like Viper is to Dodge...it is technically a Chevy, but people tend to see it separately.

You messed up on the Dodge part. Viper is still a model. SRT is the separate part of Dodge. Older viper models were called Dodge Viper, but last model was named SRT Viper.

You're all still debating over why R* made the Coquette, a fictional car name in a fictional game, manufacturer (fictional) different from another fictional manufacturer.

The SuperGT will be an Audi (or Lamborghini). I mean, look at the Navigation-System and the Instruments. They are copied from Audi/Volkswagen to 100%

To be fair, Benefactor, Pegassi, Grotti and Overflod share that interior.

E- also Dewbauchee with the Massacro.

Pegassi is Lambo, so this would make sense. Benefactor...yes, Merecedes, would make a little bit sense.. but Grotti and Overflod not.

Thanks for the info, i didn't know that.

//Edit: Benefactor doesn't have the same Interieur?!

SuperGT is coming to V? Well I'm not buying a Zentorno just yet then

I never liked how the San Andreas Tampa looked, although it was fun to drive. The TBoGT Tampa looks way better.

Good to see the Tampa will be back, it was one of my favorite muscles in IV. Never been too much of a fan of the Feroci though, and the SuperGT feels kinda pointless with the much better Massacro around. Still, who knows, assuming both have good performance and mods they might as well have a spot in my garage.

About the "brand new vehicles", the Army Cavalcade sounds kinda pointless, but I'm curious to see what the Detonator and the Barbarian are.

Fun isn't dead my friends, merely reborn like a Phoenix from the ashes.

https://twitter.com/TezFunz2

Are you sure that's actually Fun? He never referred to his work as "we"... And he actually showed his findings instead of making vague assumptions...

Is it just me or that definitely sounds like NOT Funmw2, and instead more like a certain old hack?

Was never really a fan of any of the IV vehicles mentioned here. But I'm pumped to see what the Detonator and Barbarian are, some powerfull vehicles by the sound of it. And please let them have customization!

Its sad that ppl remember the Super GT as the aston-looking p.o.s that was present in GTA IV. Super GT was originally the Mitsubishi 3000GT in GTA:SA. We already have the f620. A DB9 would be cool and all but 3000GT would be a better addition.

Damn you beat me to it. I was going to mention this guess all i can do is add a pic.
