750ti cheap + power

Seems like a decent choice for graphics, but what pc should i put it in? Or should i build? What would be cheaper? Id obviously need at least 2.5ghz quad core and id want 8gb ram. For storage id probably use a 120gb ssd or a 320gb hdd, since it will only be used for a few games.

cant remember

My computer was 600 euro 5 months ago and GTA V works great.

GeForce GTX 760

i5 processor

8Gb of RAM

Regular HDD, but loading times seem fine to me, same as GTA4.

Would it be a bad idea to get a $400 mid level desktop from a store like best buy that at least has a quad core proscessor and 4gb of ram and then just get a graphics card? They have a decent spec'ed one on sale right now and all it needs is a decent graphics card. Tge reason im going for something cheap is because the only thing this pc will really be used for is gta v, maybe anotger couple games in the future. Im still on a ps3 so this is like my next console

The other option is running it on my 2.5 i5 iMac with 8gb ram and an AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory. Would that even be possible with my graphics card sknce its only 512mb? Ik its below specs but could i run the game on fairly low settings?

That might be a good idea, but you need to check and see If the PC has a good enough power supply for the game, if the case has enough space for a graphics card, this is very important

You might not want to run the game on 4gb of Ram, you most likely would want 8GB

You might want to check how good the CPU is actually, a AMD 4 Core, does not really provide anywhere near the performance of a Intel Quad core in terms of gaming

Would not try running it on a Mac at all even through Boot camp.

Alright, i dont know a lot about hardware im more of a software guy, but what would be some ok-ish proscessors to runnthe game on then? You said an a4 wouldnt be great. Should i completely stay clear of amd? Because if i go for intel ill probable just build a pc, after of course i read up on it lol

AMD creates good CPUs, you would most likely want to get a 6 or 8 core with AMD for gaming though

Intel CPU Recommendation:

Intel Core i5 (i5-4460, i5-4570, if possible i5-4690K)

AMD CPU Recommendation:

AMD Core (FX-6300 (6 Core), FX-8350 (8 Core))

I'd go with any HP, Dell, Lenovo with a decent i5. Just make sure it can accept the graphics card you want to use. Also, make sure to look into the power supply on the computer, you might have to upgrade it. My XPS 8500 came with a 460 watt (most say that is a conservative rating) and could handle a GTX 970.

Cheap desktops are a good option. I'm using a Dell XPS 8500 (i5 3450 8gb ram) that I bought for $440 shipped from Dell Outlet and added a GTX 660. GTA V plays fine, but I'am thinking of getting a GTX 970 to get even higher :D

What is your price range.

My price range is as cheap as possible of course but preferebly around $450 for the pc with graphics card included. I already have peripherals and a display.

also, can i use my wireless dualshock ps3 controller, or do i need an xbox controller? i'd much rather use a controller than try to use a keyboard.

You should really build your own PC. Its simple and you will get much better performance for your $. If you buy a prebuilt and a graphics card you may as well play on an xbone or ps4

quad core, ddr3, sata 600 or SSD, 256bit card DX11+ card. There isn't such thing as a 256bit DX11+ card that can't max GTA V..

Keep checking Slickdeals. These i5's were all under $400 (keep in mind they are refurbished) and make sure to know if the motherboard can accept the graphics card you want and the PSU wattage.

Some might still be available.

This deal is dead, but shows that they can be had for cheap and brand new

A very bad idea. I can all but guarantee the PSU will not be adequate for anything above what it comes with. Once you tack on a new GPU and PSU (and fingers crossed no other complications come up, like size and ventilation), you're going to find yourself with a weird makeshift PC which ended up with a price tag just a stones throw from building your own custom machine.

I bought a $600 HP with an i7 and 12GB RAM and ordered a factory upgrade PSU to 600 watts. When I got it I put in an old Radeon 5870 and it runs the game high to very high even with just 1GB VRAM

IMO build yourself and stay away from amd. They make okay cpu's, but nothing compared to intel. Maybe in the future they will have better cpus or cpus that take advantage of multiple cores, but for now they dont.

I guess ill build then. Id like to do that anyways.

Here is a good entry level PC if you would like to build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/k7Ygpg

The CPU is a Intel Dual but you will still get decent performance from GTA, also it has a good High End AMD GPU

Good Luck

i can run it on my pentium g3258

i also have a gigabyte r9 270, only $150

great card, but not sure how well it can do in this game because of the bottleneck but i plan to upgrade cpu soon, with the bottleneck i can run it at all medium settings at 30-40 fps

I will say, the GTX 750 TI SC with 2 GB RAM is a great card. However, it doesn't like textures set to High in GTA5, even with 2 gigs of dedicated RAM. Normal is about all I can do without major lag. Everything else settings-wise can go to High though.

AMD FX-6300 3.5 Ghz

8 GB RAM

Nvidia GTX 750 TI SC 2 GB
