Whenever i try to start the game i get "The rockstar game services are unavailable" with no error code, after trying literally for hours, i am not exaggerating at all, i have to spend 3-4 hours doing it...it will eventually get in the game but simply no chance to play any multiplayer, only single player. I have the game on rockstar / social club , NOT Steam. The game runs with no issues maxed out and i don't have any problems with it other than the above mentioned. Please, i am pulling out my hair guys, i don't know why the f*ck this is happening and i have no idea how to fix it...i've googled all over the place for a potential fix but did not find anything useful. I've opened a support ticket ~3 days ago @ rockstar.. no reply yet. Any help is welcome. C0deTalker Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 I had the exact same problem. I have an ASUS RT-AC66U router. I plugged my computer directly into my modem and it seemed to work most of the time after that. Be careful doing that though. randomuser300 Posted April 17, 2015 Author Share Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the reply, i don't currently have a router, my connection is already direct (comes from ONT (optical network terminal)), i've tried thru a VPN to see if i have any luck that way..unfortunately it made no difference . Just for the record, to eliminate the connection to the internet as a potential problem, i've also tried connecting to the net via usb cable > phone > 3g , i still had the same problem. The Deadite Posted April 18, 2015 Share Posted April 18, 2015 I don't think there is a fix really, people get the message "The rockstar game services are unavailable" on console as well so you just have to wait it out. I've tried to disable it, made no difference, i also have a friend with the same AV + configured the same way, the game works fine for him. I don't use Skype but might be a good idea to use it and give them a call, i wasn't aware you can call toll free numbers with it. I've just got a reply on my rockstar ticket but nothing is solved yet, i've provided them the details they have requested and i am waiting to see what they say next. ClareXoBearrx3R9 Posted October 29, 2015 Share Posted October 29, 2015 If I were in the same position, I'd try reinstalling the operating system, seeing as you've apparently tried most other troubleshooting options. It takes a while and will take a while if you have to download the game again, but IMHO, it balances out since you're waiting for hours to play on average anyway. Also worth mentioning, mainstream support for Windows 7 has ended anyway, so if you have the dough, might want to upgrade to 8.1. 10 is out but it's a new OS with its fair share of new bugs.
