RussianFighter
Nah, it's not a driver problem. I had this happen too. It got fixed after I deleted the config files in Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V Try this, OP. Delete Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V\settings.xml Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V\Profiles\4E24D739\cfg.dat
nilz45
I had those artifacts once a long time ago, it was due to a overheated/damaged card, and it was also AMD.
MrSivy
First one: thank you for your reply. So this is what i did already: 1. I updated drivers to the newest beta version for GTA by amd. 2. then removed drivers completely and installed them again. 3. I reinstalled gta. 4. I did the hdd defragmentation. 5. I donwclocked my card and manual set fan speed to 100% (normally its always on 40-50%) 6. I tried to change all settings in game. No effects. @MerolaC I will try to delete those files now. Let's see if it will help.
MrSivy
So, it looks like it didn't help.
nilz45
So, it looks like it didn't help. Sounds and looks like a hardware problem. You should try other games to see if you experience similar artifacts, you should also try to see if the artifacts showes up after a while, if they are it could be related to heat, instead of a faulty card. Are you overclocking your card? Edited April 25, 2015 by nilz45
iNETSTAR
did u try with other video card ? or use Display Driver Uninstaller? this looks like drivers bug (often with ATI drivers) try to clean drivers OR reinstall system, if this glitches are only in GTA, when u dont have this sh*t in other games, thats can't be card problem, im 90% sure it's something wrong with drivers, when u update to (GTA drivers). Try it. Edited April 25, 2015 by iNETSTAR
MrSivy
I'm playing a lot of games and it appears only in GTA. I'll try to use Display Driver Uninstaller and if it doesn't help, then I will reinstall my system. So, it looks like it didn't help. Sounds and looks like a hardware problem. You should try other games to see if you experience similar artifacts, you should also try to see if the artifacts showes up after a while, if they are it could be related to heat, instead of a faulty card. Are you overclocking your card? Sometimes it appears after a while, sometimes just after starting the game. Temperature of my card is stable and low and as i said: my fan isn't even working on 100%. I didn't oc my vcard or any other components.
t3zza
I posted in another thread that I think it has something to do with either the R9 series cards or the 280's specifically because all of the other videos I've found with people having similar sort of graphical artifacts. http://gtaforums.com/topic/787906-gpu-game-or-driver-issue/ Much like your case GTA 5 is the only game with any graphical problems and the card does not have any apparent issues in Furmark & OCCT. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a solution for this issue as yet.

MrSivy
Still the same. Various models between restarts. If I'm lucky, it is a model that occurs rarely. Then it is not so annoying.
MrSivy
I just reinstalled my drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (with safe mode and all that stuff). The first thing I can say is BIG performance improvement. I`m waiting for some bugs now... EDIT: After 2 hours - no bugs Edited April 27, 2015 by MrSivy emcax24
Thalyn
Hi, Generally, this kind of bugs are due to a hardware problem (Over OC, Heat, or Dying...), or a old driver (rare), or problem/old directx version (most of the time), or a problem with the graphic card software (most of the time) due to a wrong version, old version, or wrong settings... . Then, if these graphic bugs come back, you can try to change your DirectX version to see if DirectX is the problem. If yes, check if your version (of directx) is the latest (and then, update it).
